For timber, the same applies for timber, 75mm clear to the underside of post. Exposed edge slabs, typically waffle pod slab. The slab is designed to meet the termite barrier requirements of the building code with an exposed edge. This edge should never be built over, even garden beds should not be placed along the exposed edge. Fact. Termites can destroy an entire 4 bed, 2 bath timber framed home in as little 10 weeks. Remember that nothings is termite proof, all measures are resistant only whilst the barrier is maintained. If you can’t see it then there may as well be nothing there to protect your home.
