20.01.2022 There are times when the artist inside comes out. Before I was an author, I was an artist and I loved creating installations with ‘lots of something’. One time it was creating an installation involving 300 eggshells and 2000 lights. Now as an author and illustrator, I live and breathe books, tour in schools and haven’t had time to set up an exhibition in years. But here it is! A fun installation combining my two passions check out the creation of a 2 metre Bookmas Tree! Fea...turing over 500 copies of The King’s Key (Book 2 in my Pie Rats series), and over 500 copies of The Hungry Hairy Sea Monster (Book 3 in my Scallywags series), green is the spine colour of the season. Kids today can write their own blogs or start their own YouTube channel! Regardless of how technology has changed communication, there is something special about seeing you work in print and receiving a shiny gold certificate in the mail. It was a pity the certificates I received weren't Willy Wonka's golden tickets ...
