His playful army style approach is super engaging & his enthusiastic energy draws our juniors toward him, even before class has started Jock often leads the 'challenger' option, this morning setting up the challenger crew for a track start before racing them... I wonder who won?!... Jock is a qualified PT, he's been involved with Uni Camp for Kids, loves triathlon and is an awesome part of the DOSE Running team. Thanks coach Jock

Raising over $7000 for Beyond Blue Developing & delivering our online & in person DOSE Running & Pilates program for 5km | 10km | 21.1km | 42.5km Being along side many many runners smile as they complete their longest ever run, pain free! Pop-up events Personally, all of the above & running a trail ULTRA-marathon in NZ! There's also many people who have supported me to grow DOSE in either a business sense or assisted me further in Movement Professional Development. BSc Preventative Health specialising in Exercise & Sport Science. - Still learning every single day, and I never plan to stop ! - My lovely parents who gifted me my running ability .... - When I qualified for my first National Championships my mum decided she'd start running instead of walking from our farm house to the farm sheds - She did in @rossiboots for months. Love you mum! - My running journey started well before I knew about trophy's and championships. - Being a country kid I had the joy of driving our 'green granny' (ancient car), motorbike or push bike down our 2km driveway. - 90% of the time I'd still choose to run, even with my school bag. I also often wore my Rossi's to school . - The 97km (one way) drive to school meant I didn't play a sport until I reached year 7. 17.01.2022 The best surface to run on is... There is no one surface superior than the other. They each have their own pros & cons, and I recommend VARIETY. In saying that, context is important, certain injuries & sometimes even different types of anatomy's will not respond well to some surfaces, such as sand.... When working with soft sand, take a gradual approach, integrating small amounts at a time. With many of the DOSE crew eager to do Margs Ultra (teams, duo's & solo's) plus other awesome trail events, we're incorporating soft sand. We are conditioning the mind & body appropriate to the goal. 16.01.2022 Low impact High resistance Single Leg I this simple step up for loads of reasons... You can personalise it & progress it from a normal step to something as high as what you see here! It's relevant to your body weight. If you're an endurance runner and you can't control and absorb the landing, introducing some strength work could do you wonders! Single leg, just as you are when you run! Chances are you're dominant in one side with both strength and mobility, so if you're doing double leg exercises you're more likely to favour your strong side and let your weaker side remain lazy . Balance, again related to being a single leg exercise, replicating the running gait. If your knees knock in toward your mid-line, awareness to draw them out might be enough, or adding some extra hip stability exercises. It's involving lots of muscles, glutes, quads, hip flexors, gastrocnemius legs, soleus, core, plus more joint range in your hips than the average runner would access while running. Win win win! 09.01.2022 40 min TEMPO *Session goal: Getting Race Ready 3 ways to execute the session (variable depending on training history/experience, fitness, age & distance goals)... 1. 20 min easy running, progressing into race pace. 2. 20 min tempo progressing into race pace. 3. 40 min at race pace As a team we've built up from 6 min tempos through to 40 min. Fridays haven't been about increasing pace, but rather increasing volume at tempo. Its comfortably uncomfortable! About a month ago many of our crew PB'd in 10km & 21.1km ... About 6 weeks ago we had runners debut in half & full marathon. In less than a month many DOSE runners will be racing their first ever trail event ...Including several making their debut ULTRAMARATHON (50km) Were sooooo pumped for Perth Trail Series 'Stay Puft' 5km, 11km & 16km events, wooohoo!!! And nervous but excited for the Ultra Series WA 'Yaberoo' 25km & 50km, and the 3AM start time . DREAM IT. RUN IT. REALISE IT.
