If you held your membership over the COVID-19 lockdown, Wanneroo Raceway are offering general members a discount on their first event back , please refer to your WASCC email for more information, but for General Members that held their membership before June 3rd you get the COVID-19 discount

16.01.2022 Announcement DriftWest Outlaw Series #2 event scheduled for Sunday March 22nd. After much discussion amongst all concerned and with every option viewed to keep this event, the decision has been made to cancel.... All precautions were presented in regards to COVID-19, along with amendments to event processes and procedures to reduce opportunities with COVID-19. In the end, the decision between DriftWest and WASCC resulted in a cancellation. DriftWest and WASCC will endeavour to reschedule this event later in the year, once further information becomes apparent. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the WASCC Office.

15.01.2022 Gday Drifters, DRIFTWEST is alive and well, with activities planned at Wanneroo Raceway for August, September, October and November. As well as that weve already started to think about the 2021 season and drift is definitely on the calendar. 8th August will be a Drift Practice, one which has been part of the calendar all year. Therell be action on the infield as well as main track. What is new is that the activity will be open to non-members. Like all our events, non-membe...r entrants need to be a member of a Motorsport Australia affiliated club. If youre not a member of either you can sign up on the night and become a WASCC member. Its a Saturday night, well have the Paddock Bar open at Turn 1, grab some mates, theyll be able to take advantage of the park and view and make a night of it. On top of that were planning a bit more for September, October and November with the best of both worlds in one night, for member and non-member entrants! Coming in under the Tarmac Sportz banner well be running DriftNightz. The infield will have custom layouts for trainees, practice and even passenger rides. The main track will be pumping with tandem drifting providing some great side-by-side action. Watch this space for more information or check out upcoming events on the WASCC website.

Saturday night drift practice is the perfect place to practice your skills on the infield with assistance from our instructors, followed by the chance to drift out on the main track of Wanneroo Raceway without any pressure. 09.01.2022 To the drifting community, For the past 3 years, the team at Driftwest has tried to look after the drivers by creating a new club under WASCC with the main aim to create new competition format that involves more drivers by removing the classic battle tree format in favour of random generated battles.... The Outlaw series. In light of recent events, we dont feel like we have had sufficient support from MSA, WASCC, the drivers and the drifting community, to continue to run the...se events. Therefore, it is with a heavy heart that the Driftwest committee; Dave Gordon, Graedyn Cameron, Carla Fry, Aidan Zykowski, Harry Buck, James Gloyne and Mike Gibbson will be stepping down from their roles. We appreciate and wish to thank the drivers, officials, photographers and WASCC employees for their time and effort that has been given, making our events the best we could provide. We wish WASCC all the best in the future and look forward to what is to come in the future of drifting in WA. We've said it before, we'll say it again, Saturday practice nights are the perfect events to practice your skills in a relaxing, no pressure environment. Our infield instructors will give you pointers and answer any questions and if you're feeling ready, head out on the main track at Wanneroo Raceway and see how many of those corners you can link up.... Now while we were hoping to have our "return to racing" passenger rides available this session, were putting them on hold until we can ensure all the guidelines set for us are met. 02.01.2022 Driftwests Outlaw Series is back for the rest of 2020! We are kicking off the rest of the series with Round 2 next Saturday the 4th of July. This is a momentous occasion as it is the first time we will be holding a competition on the infield at Wanneroo raceway! There will be 2.5 hours of practice and qualifying on Saturday morning to split drivers into two groups, PRO and PRO-AM, so you can battle other drivers of similar levels in the afternoons ballot rounds. If you finish in the Top 4 of PRO-AM after the random outlaw style battles, you will then have a chance to battle for one of the last 4 spots in the final Top 16! With the Top 12 of PRO class going straight through to the top 16 for a knock-out style final to find our winner of Round 2.
