21.01.2022 It's always a fantastic day when a patient brings in their most precious gift In this case, it was Harrison....and what an adorable little man he is. I'm so lucky to do what I do

20.01.2022 For anyone who is undergoing fertility treatment and has not yet received the result they were hoping for, don't lose faith Sometimes it happens first round, sometimes it takes longer. Everyone is different but one thing is certain - the right mindset plays a vital part. Hang in there

19.01.2022 What a month so far! Despite all that is happening in the world, July has been one of our busiest months EVER particularly from a fertility perspective. We have had lots of successful pregnancies through IVF/assisted reproduction and many people eager to start their journey to parenthood. It shows that despite the countless negative implications of COVID-19, one shining light is that people have been forced to slow down and think about what’s really important in life...and that is of course family. Whether it be starting one, expanding one or taking that very first step to look into fertility options, family has definitely been at the forefront of people's minds

19.01.2022 Happy Thursday everyone! Just a quick reminder that today is my last day in the office until Monday 21st September. If you need anything in the meantime, please give my team a call on 5564 8011. They are always happy to help

19.01.2022 Good news for anyone coming into the practice! As of today, masks are no longer mandatory, temperature checks will only occur if you appear unwell, and you are welcome to bring a +1 to your appointment. A very positive update and an indication that we are back on the road to normality

19.01.2022 This one is for all the twin mums (and dads!) out there

19.01.2022 Although trying to conceive can be a rollercoaster, mantras like this help keep you in the right head space. I'm a firm believer that (although often difficult) maintaining a positive outlook is so important to achieve your goals and dreams

18.01.2022 I’d like to thank my team for all their hard work, particularly since the Covid restrictions eased and we were able to perform elective procedures again. Their long hours, commitment to following the new protocols in place to keep everyone safe, and genuine passion for what we do here has allowed us to continue giving our fertility, gynaecology, obstetrics and fertility clients the very best in patient care.

14.01.2022 There is a lot of buzz around a woman’s AMH (Anti-Mullerian Hormone) levels and how they can impact her fertility. An AMH test is a simple blood test to assess a woman’s ovarian reserve, and therefore help determine the number of fertile years she may have left. Typically, low AMH indicates a low egg count, while high levels of AMH mean there is a greater chance of eggs to create a pregnancy. If the levels are very high for a female’s age however, this could be an indication... of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) which can also affect fertility. If you are having difficulty falling pregnant or are just curious about your fertility so that you can plan for the future, an AMH test is highly recommended.

14.01.2022 It’s that time of year again! Cue lots of Christmas catch-ups with friends and family and of course, those frustrating last-minute dashes to the shops for those presents you forgot to buy . We’ll be closed for the festive break from midday Tuesday 22nd December for a couple of weeks, back in the office on Wednesday 6th of January. If you have a gynaecological concern over this time, please either see your GP or if it is urgent, present to Accident and Emergency at the hospit...al. If you are a fertility patient, please phone Queensland Fertility Group.

13.01.2022 Happy Thursday everyone! Just a quick reminder (as we know it can be confusing with the many Covid rule changes in recent months) that if you are attending an appointment in the rooms, please only bring 1 support person. ***Also, this support person must be from the same household and unfortunately, children are still not permitted to attend. Apologies for any inconvenience but we are continuing to follow Pindara's guidelines to keep everyone safe Thanks as always for understanding.

10.01.2022 An IUD (intrauterine device) is a small contraceptive device that is put into the uterus. The two types available in Australia are the copper IUD and the Mirena (hormonal IUD). Both are commonly used for contraception. Unlike a copper IUD, the progesterone releasing Mirena is also an effective means of non-surgical treatment for heavy menstrual bleeding. Heavy periods and cramping can be related to hormonal changes as women get older. It is common for women to experience changes such as heavy or long periods, or bleeding in between periods due to hormone levels dropping. Once physical conditions affecting the uterus have been ruled out, a Mirena can be used as an effective, easy solution. Please give my rooms a call if you’d like to find out more.

09.01.2022 Today is World Kindness Day Pay someone a compliment, reach out to a long lost friend, or treat a co-worker (or a stranger!) to a cup of coffee...the options are endless. Small random acts like this can make an enormous impact on the recipient, plus put a smile on your face. It’s a win-win situation

09.01.2022 Happy Cup day everybody! Hope you’re all ready to watch the race shortly....and back a winner Who’s your money on?

09.01.2022 Just a quick update for my fertility patients. My team and I understand that it is a particularly stressful time for anyone undergoing or looking to do IVF, given the unpredictable times we are all facing. I wanted to assure my NSW based patients currently undergoing an IVF cycle that they will definitely finish. If you are a NSW resident wanting to start a new cycle, we are currently getting clarification from the Government regarding time lines so watch this space. I will... keep you all informed. I’d also like to assure you that although there are some delays with embryo testing at the moment, we are still 100% able to offer this to our patients. If you are still feeling anxious or have any further questions, please give our rooms a call.

09.01.2022 A quick message for our lovely patients outside the NSW 'Border Bubble'. It's looking very promising that we will be able to continue your management from November 01st. Hang in there!!

There is no better feeling than giving the gift of parenthood
