21.01.2022 An update on the 2020 LandGipps Drouin Boxing Day Races Being a few months out from our annual picnic race day, we wanted to keep you in the loop on where things are at. We're currently awaiting advice from Country Racing Victoria and the State Government on whether the races will run, and what a safe event would look like if they do. We'll be sure to let you know as information comes to hand, and we look forward to clinking glasses with you on the track - whenever that may be!

11.01.2022 UPDATE: COMMUNITY EVENT WILL NOT RUN IN 2020 After meeting with Country Racing Victoria to learn the restrictions required for COVID-safe racing events in 2020, we've determined that if the Boxing Day Races do run in Drouin this year it will be a crowdless event. As a country picnic race day, we know that you attend the event to catch up with friends in town for the holidays and mingle with other locals. Unfortunately the changes that would be required to run the event... this year - such as strict allocated seating, limited movement between parties, and attendee caps which include the small army it takes to make the day happen - would prohibit us from running a true community event, which is what the day is all about. Rather than offering a subpar experience, we'll focus on bringing you the best-ever community race day in 2021. For racing personnel in the meantime, we're still determining the feasibility of running the races without attendees - stay tuned for an announcement on that front.

06.01.2022 The next race up is the Roger Manson Panels Maiden Plate 1775m. A Drouin institution, Roger Manson’s is know for quality workmanship and excellent service when it comes to all things auto body. Covering panel beating, spray painting, window replacement and smash repairs, they also offer a 24-hour towing service to get you out of trouble. Hopefully not necessary for any racegoers today!

05.01.2022 UPDATE FOR HORSE TRAINERS & CONNECTIONS: We’ve made the decision to run the picnic races in Drouin this 26th December as a crowdless event. You can go ahead and nominate as usual and contact us for any enquiries regarding the running of the day.
