17.01.2022 HAPPY SATURDAY Mitch Hodder from Dubbo Tree Service came to the garden at 7.30am to move and shape the soil in the new rockery. It has saved THE TEAM from... manually shovelling tonnes of soil and is hugely appreciated. After the rockery had been shaped, Mitch then came to stables with us and loaded the ute with horse poo , again saving us from much shovelling. Thank you so very much Mitch and we hope you enjoyed the egg and bacon roll and carrot cake It was a busy morning for THE TEAM, vegetables that had finished producing were removed and buried under horse poo in the compost, the microbes and wormswill be working overtime. The garden beds were then covered with compost and forked over ready for new plantings of summer vegetables. Later in the afternoon we went to Linda's garden to help her and Scott remove some mature plants, some of which will be relocated to the Walan Community Garden after they recover from transplant shock. The lemon verbena will be an amazing sensory plant and great addition to the garden. The plants have been placed in pots and given a drink of Seasol to assist with their recovery. Thank you so very much Jack, Linda and Scott for thinking of the community garden and for the plants, they will be well looked after David Harris, you come and mow the lawn without being asked, thank you so much, hope you found some vegetables to take home #TEAM #COMMUNITY #GARDENING #YTB #CARING
