20.01.2022 Sorry to say but this is the fire we had to have. For as long as I can recall the 4WD movement has been fighting to keep tracks and forests open but no one list...ened. Most of my non 4WD friends wouldnt even realise this and thats my point. Govt departments lean in favor of not spending a dollar so it suited them to be persuaded by the greens. Hopefully now we see areas opened up again and tracks maintained or even upgraded to suit fire truck access. See more

Sadly there is only a... couple of local Treasure Family descendants who still drive their cattle on horse back to (in the Spring) and from (in the Autumn) Dargo to the High Plains and back again. For economical reasons most of the cattle these days are exported by truck. See more

04.01.2022 UPDATE 26th February: Paul is currently leaving Jugion heading towards Yass. If you see him could you please check if he needs water/supplies. Paul & RJ did run... out of water before he got to Jugion over the weekend but thankfully made the last few kms without it. This brave man has been walking for just over a year with his beautiful dog RJ (Real Joy), pulling over a 120kg cart which he has named Ying Yang. He started his journey in South Australia and is heading to Canberra to petition the government for more funding for Suicide Awareness & compassionate & empathetic staffing in government run offices dealing with people with mental health issues. Tragically Paul lost his daughter Shona Mai in November 2018. If you see Paul along the road please stop and see if he needs anything, especially water in this heat. He will be heading from Nangus to Gundagai over the next few days. He has a go fund me page if you would like to help support this worthy cause. I will put a link to it in the comments.
