15.01.2022 ATTENTION MEMBERS/PLAYERS - training this week was meant to be Thursday evening back at the club nets but it has been postponed and instead we are encouraging everybody to get down to the Melville Rams Amateur Football Club for their final training session and show them our support before the Grand Finals this weekend. Details of the game below. GRAND FINALS Reserves V Carlisle @ 12:35pm League V Ocean Ridge @2:45pm... Both games at Kingsway Reserve. Please remember the Rams will be on show this weekend so support hard but support fairly, lets show everyone what the Rams passion is all about on and off the field!! UP THE BLOODY RAMMERS!!!

15.01.2022 An update after yesterday... 1st Grade bowled first and rolled Piara Waters for 169. Michael Carmody took 3/24 & Ryan Jones 3/36. In a 10 over batting period we managed 1/15. ODA batted first against Phoenix and scored 138, who in reply could only manage 112. Skipper Sam Kelsey was the standout with 49 runs and 4/35.... ODD also batted first but could only muster up 94, which Armadale chased down with 1 over to spare. Sam Davis was the best performer with 17 runs and 2/17 with the rock.

After impressive first day bowling performances by the Siave brothers (Nick 4/27, Chris 3/19) it will be up to the batters to chase down the score of 134 and keep the finals dream alive for 2019/20. 13.01.2022 We all know its been a year like no other and the health of our community is the highest priority. With this is mind the SMCA/WACA has mandated the following protocols for the upcoming cricket season. 1. No Spitting or using body fluid (ie sweat) on the ball 2. No sharing of equipment ie helmets. 3. Player and umpires to provide their own drink bottles - no sharing of cups in eskies etc... 4. Players to provide their own afternoon tea - 5. Umpires will not hold players hats, spectacles, jumpers etc The emphasis is to minimise the spread of COVID and avoid outbreaks, so that we can continue playing cricket and not shut down our season. 01.01.2022 OFFICIAL STATEMENT Members are advised that the clubs end of season function (Saturday 28th March) has been postponed due to coronavirus and social isolating measures put in place by the Federal government. Once the advice from the authorities is that group gatherings are ok we will make plans to reschedule the event. The scheduling of the AGM will also depend on the same conditions.
