Some people ask the question as to whether the spring in an Eazytamp needs to be replaced from time to time, as they may wear out. In all the years weve been manufacturing since 2005, weve never had a request to change the spring. The reason why this is, is because the spring is always under tension when its in the tamp, so the movement is only 3mm. The equivalent for someone that doesnt understand... the science its like having a Mack truck spring on a VW car. Since no two filter baskets are exactly the same, best if you measure yours with a vernier measuring tool. Any motor mechanic that you take your car to for servicing would have a vernier in their toolbox. The size of the tamp head should always be 1/10th of a mm smaller than the maximum width of your basket.
