14.01.2022 Can highly recommend this practice. As much as I admire SIDS, I did not agree with their suggesting you should not share your bed with your baby. This is an excellent article by Dr. James J. McKenna a professor of anthropology and the director of the Mother-Baby Behavioral Sleep Laboratory at the University of Notre Dame. He is a world-renowned expert on infant sleep particularly the practice of bed sharing in relation to breastfeeding. He shares his insights on co-sleeping and bi-phasic sleep patterns and offers tips for new parents.

08.01.2022 I met a lovely lady in Brunswick today who breeds birds, primarily budgies. She is overrun with budgies at the moment and wants to give them away to good homes. Budgies are great pets for children, easy to care for and providing you leave lots of seed and water, can be left while you are away from home. I don't want to broadcast her email address, but if anyone in Melbourne (Australia) is interested, send me a message and I will pass it on.

06.01.2022 Interesting Podcast. Environmentally friendly, biodegradable textiles from orange waste after juicing, glitter from Eucalyptus tree pulp, leather from pineapple, grape and apple skins. All happening outside Australia, but seems ideally suited to us with the prevalence of waste from all these products going into landfill. For decades numerous textile fibres have been made from the most amazing products. It all started during WW2 when innovators were looking for alternatives to items that were in short supply. Sadly, very few were taken up. It is only in the last 10 years that some have proved to be commercially viable.

02.01.2022 If you are in Melbourne next weekend and looking for baby or toddler garments, come find us at the All For Kids (Indoor) Market in Coburg (14-22 Gaffney St) on Saturday 12th May from 9am to 1pm. We will be selling from Ecoelle's current stock of soy/cotton babywear and TShirts at very attractive prices, some below cost. ALL BRAND NEW. Hope to see you there. PLEASE SHARE.
