25.01.2022 Today we are excited to share Melissa Warner's presentation - 'Psychedelic-assisted Mindfulness and creative cognition'. This Special Mindfulness segment is part workshop and part lecture. It was recorded as part of the Entheogenesis Australis Garden States Microdose Livestream. Melissa Warner feels altered states can open a portal, a new perspective. But ask, when do altered states lead to altered traits? With these questions in mind, we will explore the concept of 'psychede...lic-assisted mindfulness'. Mindfulness, or meditation, is an age-old evidence-based practice of regulating and exploring the mind. Melissa will explore the complementary nature of psychedelics and meditation as a shared path to enhance personal agency and psychological well-being. The lecture will explore the history, neuroscience research, psychological theories, and biotech futures of these modalities. The workshop will guide us through a reflection on moving through uncertain times and in creating a vision for our future selves. A call to connection with the self to explore our connection to each other. We hope you enjoy this special segment from the EGA archives and Entheo TV. Remember, EGA is a registered charity run by volunteers. Please consider supporting our work @ www.entheogenesis.org

16.01.2022 We recommend you have a look at this fantastic and educational fungus video by Alison Pouliot, who is set to present at the next EGA Garden States Symposium. On that note, we will have an update on the new EGA Garden States Symposium date next week, as it is not going to be possible to run the much-loved conference in 2020 as Victoria has been affected too greatly by COVID 19. So we will have an in-depth announcement about the rescheduled and expanded version of the special 2021 gathering of the plant minds very soon. Till then enjoy this special film ;-) The Kingdom Fungi, Fungi are fundamentally important organisms. They're not just some kind of bizarre accessories in the landscape, but rather fungi underpin, pretty much every terrestrial ecosystem, on the planet. 01.01.2022 Many people who experience DMT, especially at the breakthrough levels, will find that they simply can’t remember the bulk of what they experienced. This is something quite unique to the DMT flash and I think part of it comes down to the extremely ineffable nature of the DMT experience, which you could even call hyper-ineffable, with certain aspects not only being indescribable but also unrememberable. Some people might accept this is a DMT quirk and think nothing of it, whereas others might feel that a lot of important knowledge and insight was lost when the amnesia set in. Whatever your attitude may be about DMT and memory loss, one challenge remains: how can you integrate a DMT experience that is difficult to remember?

01.01.2022 Keynote lecture from the 2019 Telluride Mushroom Festival by mycologist Giuliana Furci. "In order for our planet to heal and be remediated, mycology needs to be taught to the same level as zoology and botany through national, state and municipal curricula, with the goal of providing our children the tools for sustainability on an ever threatened planet. Fungal education needs to be at the forefront of our efforts in order to ensure an ecosystem approach to nature. For mycolog...y to be taught from pre-school to high-school, The Fungi Foundation has developed a plan to create a global curricula that will be applicable to most countries in the world." Since 1999, Giuliana has dedicated her life to obtaining justice for the fungi in all aspects possible. In 2012, she founded the Fungi Foundation, through which he has focused on the conservation of fungi, sustainable collection of edible wild mushrooms, education, mycological explorations, the curatorship of the FFCL Fungarium, and the creation of national and international mycological capacity. Her achievements have led her to work and partner with important international institutions such as the Farlow Herbarium of Harvard University, Royal Botanic Gardens Kew, and the Telluride Mushroom Festival, among others. Thanks to the fundamental role of Giuliana, Chile is the only country in the world that has included fungi in its environmental legislation at the highest legislative level, thus creating dozens of jobs for mycologists and giving the initial kick-off to the creation of formal financing lines for mycology in Chile. In 2007 she published "Fungi Austral", and later in 2013 "Field Guide Fungi of Chile vol. 1" whose second edition was published in 2016, and in 2018 Field Guide Fungi of Chile vol. 22" was published. She has collaborated in numerous books and publications on mushrooms across the globe. Giuliana received the Telluride Mushroom Festival Salzman Award in 2018 for her contribution to the Festival.

01.01.2022 This is the end of the world as we know it, and that is not something we should fear; it is something we should celebrate. This is a necessary transformation that we have to go through, and it’s going to be rough, McKenna stated at the symposium, stressing: First, we must wake up to what is happening. And then we must ‘wise up’. That is, we must become wise and express that wisdom in creating a new paradigm, a new understanding of our relationship to Nature and to ourselves, a relationship grounded in compassion and symbiosis, rather than competition and dominance.
