25.01.2022 What do you decorate with at Christmas? Do you stick to ol saint nic and the Xmas tree or the nativity scene? Or do you do something different? The past 2 years I've made a baby in a manager and put it next to the tree (they love the lights!) and taught my children how the wise men brought gifts to Jesus. ... 10.01.2022 Dont compare, there is mess behind that perfect square Learning curve #marchmeetthemaker When I first started out I would gaze for hours at other peoples work, their pictures, styling and Id be lost in a mindset that I would never be able to produce the quality of their work. ... I would have severe self doubt, so bad that it would cripple me from posting my work, or I would get so overwhelmed I would post prematurely and sometimes I would go months without even creating. But do you know what, everything takes time and perseverance... you need to give yo-self some grace! You dont know what is behind those perfectly curated squares. There could be mess and kaos, they could have gone through 20 failed pieces to create that perfect one. They could be like me and putting all your energy into raising 2 little humans! We are renovating Kitchen and bathroom and I have always loved the classic hamptons look, marble, white cabnitry and brass fixtures. ... ....however my 1960s home has Mahogany floorboards!! 01.01.2022 Sometimes things just FAIL #marchmeetthemaker Planning So recently in a bid to post more consistantly I have been pre-planning a lot of my posts, and this is a prime example of a FAIL! I set this post as a push notice and didnt put in any text as I was going to do it when I physically hit the post button......... However I set it up as a manual post, so the original post had no story attached EPIC FAIL Runing your own business you not only have to make the products but also photograph, plan posts, marketing and keep up with socials, answer emails, bookwork...just to name a few.
