24.01.2022 Victoria has always been the cultural and dining capital of the nation. No question about it. But there's no doubt the hospitality industry has been among the h...ardest hit by this pandemic. That's why today we announced our plan to move dining outdoors as the weather warms up. We'll provide grants to help restaurants, pubs and cafes with the practical things to make this work umbrellas, outdoor furniture, screens and other equipment. Local councils will receive funding to update permits, convert streets into hospitality zones and help with compliance. We'll also provide grants for COVIDSafe events and activities to get people out and about when it's safe to do so. Live music with dinner. Bands and shows. This is about helping businesses reopen sooner and safely serve more customers than they'd be able to indoors. This will completely transform our city and our state. And I'm backing the people who turned laneways into a destination to come up with something pretty special.

05.01.2022 I was just reading about a blogger who is being sued for using a photo sourced from Google images. When you search on Google, the result shows content from all indexable sites and does not differentiate based on permission. If you are looking for images to use then please head to a stock photo website where the photographer who owns the photo is credited and paid. Your other option is to contact the photographer directly. A timely reminder that the person who took the photo is trying to run a business too. That is their work, their livelihood and they deserve to be compensated.
