25.01.2022 Somewhere along the line of working for myself, studying, covid, life, I fell into the trap of stopping taking care of myself. I've always had the habit of being 'too busy', always having things and commitments and whatnot to do. My mental and physical self would always fall on the wayside. I've been trying to commit to myself more, because I can't be on my A-game for you unless I'm here for me. I've been aiming to do 3x10min meditation a week (I took advantage of a break thi...s morning, listened to the rain and just breathed). I’m not usually a meditative person, so it’s been really hard - but practice makes perfect! I've also started getting back into painting, and learning to embrace my creative side again. The point of this post is to remind you of something. Who are you doing all of this for? This busy-ness, the mayhem, the organised chaos. Did you forget to take care of yourself when you were busy taking care of everyone else? Can you find 10 minutes to just breathe? When was the last time you did something fun FOR YOU? What do you enjoy? How do you unwind? Tell me all about it! I love hearing what people like doing!

25.01.2022 I'm not sure that this will 100% get you out of work, but let me know if you try it! Contrary to popular belief, you do not need to be experiencing DOMS after every session. DOMS is not an indicator that you've worked out efficiently, in fact it's actually a bad thing if you are sore after EVERY training session. There's nothing wrong with a bit of muscle soreness, but make sure you give yourself adequate recovery, stretch/foam roll, and keep moving!... - Em

19.01.2022 Happy New Year! I wish you all a safe, happy, and prosperous 2021! Let's hope that the coming year will be better than the one that was. In reflecting on 2020, while it was terrible, it also had some pretty cool stuff happen. I left a secure job to venture out on my own, and have surprised myself with how well it has actually gone - even with Covid right in the middle of it.... To my crew, you guys have been nothing short of amazing. Whether fresh into training with me, or with me from the very start, you guys keep me going, and make me want to be bigger and better. I cannot wait to see what 2021 holds for you, and for us together. Stay safe, and I'll see you on the other side!! Love Em <3

08.01.2022 Hello all! I will be finishing up at midday on Christmas Eve! I've got two days (the 29th-30th of december) and then I will be taking a break from the 31st of December to the 10th of January.... I will be back to regular sessions on Monday the 11th of January. Happy New Year!

That’s 50 faces that I see in my little home garage every week and I am just so blown away.... I’ve had some people come and go, but the fact that I’m actively working with 50 people in here is just insane. Thank you for trusting me. Thank you for putting up with me. Thank you for taking the idea of Empowering Fitness of so many years ago and making it a reality now for me. I appreciate every single one of you

I’m not usually a sappy affirmation person so here goes: You are so awesome. You absolutely crush it everyday. ... Do you know how hard it is to show up? You do, and you still show up anyway. Do you need some time to reset? Do it, don’t apologise, take your time to refuel and reset. Because you absolutely are the most amazing person. No one can do you the way that you do you.
