22.01.2022 Still scoping out here in Cairns, found a very unique venue The Tanks right beside the Botanical Gardens. Begoas performing Arts blood Started to boil. Would be a lot of fun to do something at night in this space. For many reasons this Site does not get much more Circular than a tank and finding another use for something old is So Circular Economy

18.01.2022 Lots of work is being done behind the scenes to plan new events and to improve our processes behind our events. We hope to hold events that will be as close as possible to waste free. We will never achieve 100% waste free but we can ensure that our resources are not lost and they are reused, repurposed, recycled and returned. Having a solution to our organic waste will allow use to easily deal with component of waste, composting it and returning it to the soil.

15.01.2022 Visited the Courier Mails Regional Flavours Festival on the weekend. A well run event with many good local wines on offer. The Govino wine glass is a good initiative to reduce waste and the use of single use plastic cups, maybe we need to hit them up for a bioplastic version. As usual attendees where not separating their waste but Mallow Sustainability was sorting the waste behind this event. A great start to managing waste. I enjoyed the day just wished I had a little more space to sit down and enjoy a wine with my food. Well done

07.01.2022 Introducing Oseanica Culinary Art. A gastronomy congress and exhibition we are running in Cairns. This has been the culmination of 12 months work to date with a...n amazing lady Josefina. This is the most exciting project I have been involved in. We have the normal focus of every gastronomy congress however we are incorporating sustainability, circular economy, ethical business and cultural awareness into the program.
