24.01.2022 This week is the 25th #nationalrecyclingweek which is a great opportunity to build better recycling habits! We're kicking things off with a 4 week challenge with Icon Water to see who can recycle and deposit the most drink containers to the ACT Container deposit scheme. All funds raised will go to Evoenergy’s 2020 #Movember effort to support men’s health and suicide prevention. Who do think will win the challenge?

19.01.2022 It's getting cold in here! As the temperature drops, many of you will fire up a gas heater to stay warm and cosy, and over the coming weeks it will quickly become one of the hardest working appliances in the home. We talked to our resident gas expert Bruce Hansen about the importance of getting your gas heater serviced by a qualified gas appliance technician or gas fitter to ensure its running safely, effectively and efficiently. 15.01.2022 Safety first! Before we commence any planned works we always do a safety check and complete a job risk assessment, no matter what the conditions. This morning while preparing for planned works in #Pialligo, our crews enjoyed their pre-work safety check in Canberra's finest spring sunshine. Want to find out more about the Pialligo works? Visit https://www.evoenergy.com.au/outages

14.01.2022 We currently have 105 customers without power in Kambah, Spence, Pearce and Stirling as we continue to repair network damage from yesterday's storm as quickly as we can. Residents in affected suburbs may experience the power come on and off as we gradually restore, with safety our number one priority. We know how disruptive and inconvenient the outages have been this weekend, thanks for your patience!

14.01.2022 Did you know that we have guaranteed customer service levels? From today, if you're eligible, we will now automatically process rebates through your energy bill. Read more about the changes to our guaranteed service level payments process. https://bit.ly/3eOH1nu

13.01.2022 Hi #CBR, our crews are hard at work trying to restore those still without power as a result of this afternoon’s storm, but given the nature of the damage it’s likely some residents in Spence, Kambah and Stirling will experience an extended outage. We apologise for the inconvenience. If you see any network damage please stay clear and call 13 10 93. Stay safe!

12.01.2022 Let's keep a safe distance from each other, and the network! This year has been all about #socialdistancing. We’re aware of keeping our distance from each other, but did you know it’s also important to keep your distance from the electricity and gas network? Unless you're appropriately authorised by Evoenergy to approach or work on the network, keeping a safe distance is the only way to stay safe. See more about safe approach distances: www.evoenergy.com.au/workersafety #safedistancessavelives

12.01.2022 What a windy start to the week! Yesterday’s storm brought down trees and branches across #Canberra. Take a look at the branch resting on powerlines in Kambah and the gum tree that took down lines and a Colorbond fence in Mawson. Thanks for your patience while our crews worked quickly and safely to repair the network and restore power to those affected. Get prepared for storm season here: https://bit.ly/2J2Lh7Q

11.01.2022 Hi #CBR, we're experiencing damaging winds around the ACT and the Bureau of Meteorology has said there's a chance hail. Remember, in stormy conditions put your safety first, stay away from any low or fallen powerlines and report any power outages or damaged electricity network to us on 13 10 93.

11.01.2022 Storm season is approaching, and spring is the perfect time to inspect your backyard to make sure there are no safety issues. Strong winds can bring down tree branches and if they are within 1.5 metres of the powerlines this can cause damage to the network, resulting in outages. Read tips on keeping your trees and vegetation a safe distance from the electricity network at https://bit.ly/3jts3op

10.01.2022 We’re more than halfway through our recycling challenge raising money for #Movember to support men’s health. But Icon Water have taken the lead! Don't worry #CBR it’s not too late, we have heaps of ENERGY left so we're still in the running to win. We’re coming for you Icon Water!

09.01.2022 The outage in Chapman, Fisher, Rivett, Stirling, Stromlo, Tuggeranong is now fully restored. If you're still without power please call us on 13 10 93.

09.01.2022 Thanks to everyone affected by yesterday's power outages for your patience. Heavy rain in the morning and the weight of water on trees and branches bought them down on powerlines. The conditions were challenging, but our crews worked to get the power back on as quickly as possible. With more rain expected this week, make sure you get out in the backyard and inspect trees and vegetation for hazards. For vegetation trimming tips, visit https://www.evoenergy.com.au/residents/trees-and-powerlines

08.01.2022 It’s easy to be safe around the electricity and gas network if you can see it, but what if you can’t? Evoenergy Safety Manager Brendan Commons says that keeping a safe distance from electrical infrastructure is one of the key ways to stay safe from obvious as well as ‘hidden’ electrical and gas dangers. If you’re going underground, always call Dial Before You Dig NSW & ACT on 1100 before you start work. Read more: https://www.allhomes.com.au//seasonal-safety-hidden-hazar/
