14.01.2022 Hi Everyone! This morning when I opened up my home delivered copy of the West Australian newspaper I found a gift card stuck to the front page. A nice idea, but what peeved me a little was that when I tried to remove the offending RAC gift card, it took some of the newspaper along with it. As such, I was now unable to read the articles in full on pages 1 & 2, grrrr... Don't get me wrong, I think competition in the market is great! I also acknowledge the right of RAC to market... itself and in doing so potentially give away its members value. Anyway, not being a miserable type, I thought I'd take a positive approach and agree for Extra Auto Care to accept their gift card and provide our existing customers and any new customer with the same benefits. So, if you bring your RAC gift card in to our workshop we will honour it under the same T&Cs. Also under this Facebook offer, if your vehicle is broken down and you choose to have your vehicle repaired at our place, well arrange to have it picked up and give you a 10% discount from the cost of vehicle pick up. This can be particularly beneficial for non-RAC members or those that have used up any free tows. Please note that vehicle pick up can only apply to vehicles within a 10km radius of our Joondalup workshop. 02.01.2022 If you don't like your car's engine then don't service it! If all you do is top the oil up, then after 40k kilometres it will look something like this. Solid bits of gummed up oil found under the rocker cover. Imagine how this stuff affects the flow of oil through the engine's oil gallery's. engine cholesterol basically. By not changing engine oil means parts wear out at a quicker rate. Timing chains, tensioners, bearings and all those other moving parts will begin to wear ...and potentially break when you least need them to. Of course we can fix it, but people don't really like us when we tell them the repair cost can be several thousands. Not nice for us and definitely not nice for the owner, particularly when a couple of hundred bucks every 5000 or 10,000 km will add years and value to your vehicle. So, be nice to your car, your wallet and your mechanic and let the guys at Extra Auto Care service your car regularly. :))
