25.01.2022 A state-wide operation targeting a range of high harm offences including robberies, aggravated burglaries, armed robberies, carjackings and assaults will kick off in Melbournes north west suburbs this week.

24.01.2022 SPEEDSTER NABBED IN FAWKNER Greensborough Highway Patrol nabbed a driver for excessive speed in Fawkner earlier this morning. Police were patrolling Sydney Road near Andersons Road about 8.00 AM when they detected a car travelling at 173km/h in a 70km/h zone.... Members intercepted the driver, an 18-year-old man from Craigieburn, whod had his licence for less than three months. His car was impounded at a cost of $873 and he has been charged with traffic-related offences.

24.01.2022 Three people have been arrested as part of an investigation into a series of firearms incidents in the northern suburbs.

24.01.2022 With Stage 4 restrictions in place in metropolitan Melbourne, cyclists are more likely to be riding in local streets within their 5km radius. This can mean the potential for a collision with vehicles reversing from driveways and the risk of serious injury is higher. 22.01.2022 THREE STIRKES AND OUT IN YARRAMBAT A teenager has been issued over $1200 in fines and will be disqualified from driving for 3 months after being intercepted in Yarrambat this morning. Police from Greensborough Highway Patrol intercepted a Toyota Hilux after it was detected travelling at 91km/h in a 60 zone on Ironbark road just before 10am. ... The driver, an 18-year-old Doreen man returned a roadside breath test of .047. Matters only got worse for the teen when it was revealed his P1 probationary licence had expired. He was issued with three penalty infringement notices for drink driving, speeding, and unlicensed driving, at a total cost of $1280. This intercept forms part of Operation Compass, a road policing operation aimed at keeping the community safe on Victorian roads. Police continue to use an intelligence-based approach to target locations and major arterials law-breaking drivers are expected to be, as people from metro Melbourne head to regional Victoria. This includes behaviour such as speeding, drink and drug driving, people not wearing seatbelts, mobile phone use and fatigue.

10.01.2022 Did you witness this pedestrian being hit? At about 7pm the 6th of August, 2013-15 Mazda CX5 was travelling city bound in Plenty Road near the Summerhill shops. A pedestrian was crossing the road and the Mazda CX5 has tried to brake but has struck her. The was hit by the left front quarter panel, causing the left headlight to shatter and the left side mirror to brake off. She was lifted around 2 metres into the air before hitting the ground. The driver in the Mazda CX5 slowed down but unfortunately didn't stop. The pedestrian was taken to hospital with injuries to her head. 10.01.2022 Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding five separate graffiti offences occurring between the 15th of October and the 23rd of October 2020, at La Trobe University Bundoora campus. 05.01.2022 Its been a wild night in Melbournes west with police arresting five offenders on the hop for an aggravated burglary whilst on their way to pick up an offender who was part of a trio arrested for ramming police in a Kluger bearing stolen plates. The five offender, believed to be aged in their late teen and early twenties, are currently assisting with enquiries. The trio from the first incident, aged 25, 28 and 31, are also being interviewed.
