25.01.2022 Taking sheep freeze branding clients bookings now for September and October . Uptake has been incredible so far in 2020 with 80% of my clients making the change. Due to having a new expert team member we are able to take on NEW and existing clients in the coming months . 22.01.2022 This is a recent result of the freeze branding that I inspected last week . Lambs recovered beautifully after the process which is the positive feedback I keep receiving. A few teething isssues which we seem to have ironed out and it’s full steam ahead . Great process to be apart of

22.01.2022 You asked and once again we listened , drainage trailer has now got a pulley system so no need to have a dedicated staff member for the drainage trailer for freely running sheep . Kicking goals and moving man power to where it’s needed ! Dipped 2000 today with a move and a late start . Good day , great help , happy sheep win win

21.01.2022 Stay tuned , Sunday week I will be representing farm assist on landline promoting the controversial procedure of Mulesing . The purpose of the interview is to outline the key benefits to the animals and the industry. I’d like to thank Tim for choosing my business and he is extremely impressed with the team as a whole and hopes he can educate some critics with his story . I also cover my thoughts on the freeze branding having a brilliant future and the importance of pain relief. I plan to return to study and to put science behind my beliefs to prove that doing nothing to reduce problematic skin is not the answer .

20.01.2022 I would be typing Until next year if I was to send you all an individual message this 2020 so I do hope this post finds you well . This year for farm assist saw the introduction of sheep freeze branding that was challenging early days but didn’t we perfect it by the end of our first season . Looking forward to next year. We also introduced a second dip and drainage trailer to keep up with demand and make sure we arrive in a timely manner . Midway through the year I had a m...ajor loss and a major let down , I would like to thank my clients for working with myself and the team we made it through and all the lambs got marked in the end . I hope you know how much I appreciate you supporting my little growing business , keeping my amazing team in their roles. Without you all it couldn’t happen. I am so so great full after servicing some of you for 17 years that I get to see you grow and evolve and even having your kids take over the reins and telling me what to do . It’s fabulous . 2020 was a brilliant year , however 2021 is going to be even better . I am now on holidays for a week and wish you all a very merry Christmas a happy new year and a prosperous 2021 and we look forward to seeing you all again . With love lisa and the team

19.01.2022 We make even dipping long wools look easy , these sheep are literally dipping themselves , I always put time into setting up in the morning to shave a lot of time off the end of the day .

17.01.2022 Thanks to the many applicant who applied for the recent position to join our busy Lamb marking crews , we have had so many wonderful applicant a few of which have started and are excelling . Even though we are adequately staffed At present Please don’t hesitate to continue to send me a pm along the way as we often have part time work available , especially at the moment with 3 -4 teams going at the present time . It’s exciting to know we have so many budding stockman coming along.

15.01.2022 Dipping is in full swing . Lice is thriving with wet moist conditions driving up numbers . It’s important to ask lots of questions when booking a dipping contractor - how much water to charge the dip (this can vary by up to 15,000 litres which is a lot of additional chemical) - water usage per head (always a bit of a guess but I get it pretty close) - cost per head and does that include any staff - access to experienced teams which farm assist can offer cutting down on ti...me - references , I’m always happy to talk about our success - sheep need to be in good order as dipping can be the icing on the cake for young vulnerable sheep or any sheep with worms - watch the forecast , we won’t work in heavy rain or freezing cold . These points can save you thousands , just because it looks fancy doesn’t mean it’s better , trust me this year marks 20 years for me dipping on several dips. So ask the questions get the information as make an informed decision . Cheers

14.01.2022 Thanks to all of our wonderful clients who have sent us messages regarding the loss of our son it means a lot , surprisingly I am very fit and back at work as doing what you love helps during tough times. On the bright side , We are NOW in the position to take on new freeze branding clients as we are continuing to grow and prosper as a company servicing much of Geelong and the western district so we are now on the lookout for a 3rd set of cradles to accomodate the freezebran...ding , surgical and straight marking . Just incAse you have a set in your shed that you haven’t used for a number of years . wanted to buy Set of 5 bay marking cradles the same or very close to these . Not interested in new or self releasing or arrow brand . These were built in the 60’s in wa . Must be in good order Pm me with pics or text 0448804100

11.01.2022 First night for me re fueling the freeze branding trailer ! So far so good , it’s a great process and I’ve learnt so much more this week preforming the method on a large scale merino / dohne enterprise .

06.01.2022 Just such an easy way to dip sheep and manage lice , we provide the expertise and the gear to gear to get the job done.

05.01.2022 We are strongly recommending the use of pain relief for straight marking lambs . Weapons of choice is numnuts or Metacam . Both encourage faster recovery from the marking process and with a higher number of multiples this year , lambs are quicker to mother up . Pain relief is a good investment , call me to discuss options and cost per head

Just need approx numbers for those of you that choose this pathway , no pressure from me but the results are incredible and the lambs are just not looking back. Due to my current health , I also need you to contact me re Mulesing for the next 8 weeks to have a chat . 02.01.2022 With an extra wet spring keeping infection rates down will be challenging and well worth discussing. Products such as numnuts hell keep lambs on their feet and out of the mud as much as we can . We would like to work in a clean dry area such as battons where possible and see the lambs go straight out into a grassed area not be laying around in muddy yards in high traffic areas. Please speak to me well in advance if you’d like to use numnuts , it’s a cost effective way of helping get the lamb back to Mum as quickly as possible

02.01.2022 dipping season Well I’d like to say it’s that time of year again but to be completely honest we haven’t stopped dipping throughout every month of winter . A warm and moist winter has seen lice numbers increase to the highest levels I hAve seen . Most of the flocks I have been treating have been the result of a failed backliner so it’s more important then ever to see your sheep swim . Dipping with staff and chemical is still more cost effective then backliners in most cas...es and we aim to eradicate not just control . We now have two fully operational dips and with the addition of a new drainage trailer both set ups are designed to return your to the dip . November is booking quickly , please let us know now if you intend to dip this spring . Usually need 4 -6 weeks notice and ideally dip 2-3 weeks off shears but happy to fit in knowing it’s a busy time . Ph lisa 0448804100 See more
