23.01.2022 Guess what day it is? Celebrate Bisexuality Day, or Bi Visibility Day! Bisexual people represent the largest group in the queer community, but they can often be the most misunderstood, feeling invisible whether they are around straight people or other queer people. We can all do more to watch the language we use around others and the assumptions that we make about the identities of those around us. Here are 11 people explaining what bi+ visibility means to them; including p...eople who identify, for example, as non-binary or genderqueer, or people who talk about bi identity on a spectrum. Bi+ identity can hold so much within it, and has different meanings for different individuals. Happy Bisexuality Day! https://www.teenvogue.com//11-people-explain-what-bi-visib

16.01.2022 Happy International Lesbian Day!! Please enjoy this funky graphic to celebrate the occasion! Image description: Two cartoon llamas stand facing each other, eyes closed and smiling as if happy, in front of a large pink heart. They have red and purple feet (some of the lesbian flag colours). The llama in the foreground has a rug over its back featuring the lesbian flag colours of red, orange, white, light purple and dark purple, and both also wear similar bows on their heads. The background of the image features similar colour stripes but with a pastel finish.

13.01.2022 TW: Transphobia, violence Today, November 20th, is International Transgender Day of Remembrance. This is a day to remember the lives of transgender, non-binary and gender-diverse people lost to violence around the world. The complications that come with COVID, as well as changing politics in some parts of the world have exacerbated some of these issues this year. ... Today we take some time to remember these lives lost. Then, we can direct our sadness and pain towards uplifting each other; reaching out to trans and gender-diverse people in our lives and affirming them, and reminding them that we love them; educating ourselves. This below text taken from TransMasc Australia, and again mentions that transhub.org.au resource that we highlighted earlier in the week! 'Please take the time to check in with your gender diverse friends and family. This day exists because of hate and hurt, do the opposite and show some love and kindness. Learn to be a better ally and read and share resources such as this allies resource from Trans Hub: https://www.transhub.org.au/allies If you are feeling you need urgent mental health support, please see a list below: QLife 1800 184 527 (3pm to Midnight everyday) Web Chat Service (3pm to Midnight) QLife provides anonymous and free LGBTI peer support and referral for people in Australia wanting to talk about sexuality, identity, gender, bodies, feelings or relationships. 08.01.2022 Feast Queer Youth Drop In is delighted to present some Queer Youth Colouring Book 2! After a smashing first copy, this edition is full of a fresh bunch of local queer/LGBTIQA+ artists (and a sneaky cameo from Grace). Download, share and enjoy this helping of delicious linework just waiting to be coloured! Stick them up on school lockers, use them in your QSAs, plaster them on the walls of your bedroom, pin them on community notice boards- spread those queer positivity vibes ...for all. Send us pics of your fab colouring efforts too, and we’ll share them on the page! (icecream emoji). PS. There are a few artworks in this volume that include mild nudityand/or references to medical transition. We know these can be sensitive topics for some, so we’ve included a spacer page. We had a drawing from our last volume with this theme that we’d included as a separate link; so we’ve opted to include it in this volume along with the others, after the spacer page. Enjoy the wonderful offerings from these local artists, and share the link around! https://drive.google.com//19_xheZ0H1W_8iVJUNHl6ihx6g/view

03.01.2022 A lot is happening today in Australia, particularly in SA, as COVID restrictions are rapidly changing. We at drop in hope that you are all keeping safe and well to the best of your abilities. We want to acknowledge that all of these sudden changes might have impacted your routines, plans, dreams, employment opportunities.... it may have been and may still be challenging and upsetting. It's ok to mourn things that may have been cancelled, or to change your actions to prioriti...ze some down time and self care. Or maybe you have to make some tough choices about shifts, as an essential worker. We acknowledge that, too. We also know that for some people, having to stay somewhere might mean having to be in a space that might not feel safe. Here is a great post from SHINESA that details some services you can access: and we wanna throw Q-Life into the mix, the queer specific help line: Q Life: 1800 184 527 , 3pm - midnight every day. It's good to remember that a lot of these support lines now also offer texting or webchat, because not everyone likes to be talking on the phone!
