21.01.2022 The Perth Garden & Outdoor living festival for 2020 has been postponed. We understand that this is the best course of action in light of the COVID-19 outbreak. Whilst we are devastated, we wish for everyone to stay safe and in good health. Our online store is still running as normal, and is well stocked up. Keep an eye out for new succulents and rare goodies.... Take care, Danni and Kaye

20.01.2022 We have been busy bees creating a whole heap of 3D Hanging Wallaby and Kangaroo Pouches to help WAs furry little troopers recover from our devastating bush fires. We have donated them to Rescue Craft Co, a community action group developed to help our community come together and make, craft and provide necessary items for the injured animals from the Australian Bush Fires. They deliver them to wildlife rescue groups and individual rehabilitators all across Australia (and have... a dedicated branch for Western Australia). The pattern is kinda neat - It is fully lined, and hangs in a way that allows a joey to jump in un-assisted, easing the burden of the wildlife carers. We found the most economic way to source fabric for these pouches was to purchase super king size sheets, which are 100% cotton. So, if anyone is craft savvy and wants to contribute, more information can be found on their facebook group: Rescue Craft Co - https://www.facebook.com/groups/rescuecraftco/ RCC WA team - https://www.facebook.com/RCCWAteam/

14.01.2022 Would you prefer to receive in the post a bare rooted plant or a plant in a pot? We would love some feedback on the way we send plants outside our delivery zone. Currently, we package plants in their pot (soil and all) and post them to areas we dont hand deliver to. We wish to expand our current catalogue to include larger plants, and feel this would be easier to accomplish if we switch to posting bare rooted plants (A plant without its pot and soil). PROS TO BARE ROOTED:... 1. Postage costs would be cheaper. 2. We would be able to expand our catalogue to include larger plants. 3. Decreasing the weight of the package would decrease the potential for damage of the plants in transit. 4. Decreasing the moisture in the package will reduce the risk of rotting (especially in hotter weather). PROS TO POTTED PLANTS 1. There is less stress to the plant in transit, as the roots have access to moisture in the potting mix. 2. You dont need to BYO pots or potting mix. 3. There is no urgency to pot them up as soon as you receive them. 4. A bare rooted plant would have to re-establish its root system once potted up.
