25.01.2022 Boxing at it's best Hope everyone is well and handling the latest lock down the best they can. We cross our fingers and hope that were back into training and normality in 3 weeks as scheduled. I'm sorry we have not posted in a while but i would like to share with you some highlights of fights that Fighters Factory has promoted over the years. This fight is from a fight night from August 31st 2001 and the final round of a 8 round fight between Jimmy Tsitis and Dominic Deraco for the victorian cruiserweight title. The whole fight was like the round put up and i hope you enjoy it even if you have seen it before as the guts shown by both fighters is worth watching. 24.01.2022 21 years ago today Mick Canavan passed away and many people lost a role model, friend and confidant. I'm still living by lessons that Mick taught me both in life and in boxing and not a day goes by that i dont give an example of something that Mick has told me or showed me. I miss you Mick. 23.01.2022 Hello everyone! I hope everyone is well and handling the lock down the best you can. I am sorry that the posts are few and far between but i felt i needed to let you know as many of the patrons at fighters factory will be sad to find out that Jimmy Parker is very unwell in hospital, and he is in for the fight of his life after suffering a heart attack, along with his pre existing illnesses its going to be a tough ride. Jimmy first walked into our gym 21 years ago in 1999 and ...has been a regular ever since although the last 3 years he hasn't been able to train due in illness. Jimmy who is nearing the age of 80 and i hit it off from the minute he came in to the gym to enquire and we always had a joke and funny banter. For those who have been training at our gym for a good while would know jimmy and i know you would wish him the very best and a speedy recovery. I also hope that Lorna who is Jimmy's wife is ok and is holding up but i know you all will pray for Jimmy like me and my family! Thoughts are with you Jimmy and Lorna. There is also a picture of Jimmy up on the wall of fame at the gym Sorry to have to bring you the sad news and hopefully we have only a few weeks of this silly lock down! All the best. 12.01.2022 Welcome to ProMasters Australia Hi, my name is Murray Thomson and I have been involved in boxing for over forty years from being a participant in boxing both as amateur and professional level and a trainer, manager, as well as a promoter. I have promoted seventy one proffessional shows as well asmany amatuer shows and i would confidently say that i have devoted my life to boxing and spent many sleepless nights trying to put shows on without losing money and creat a platfor...m from where participants can hone there skills in there selected chosen sport. It is my view that due to lack participants it is sometimes to difficult for boxers to gain experience and competitors get discouraged when taking to bigger step and taking a beating in the process or giving the game away because of lack of activity. There is also the situation of people in there mid to late twenty’s and over to much older who are capable of competing but don’t because of there age and so they just do it the once and then move on in there lives. Wouldn’t be perfect then if there was an organisation that catered for their needs of people who want to take the sport up more seriously. I have created such an organisation which has been named pro masters australia and we would like to be the life line of boxing in australia promoting boxing from people who just want to add it to there bucket list to world class performers. 08.01.2022 Hope everyone is well and coping with the lock down as best you can. I did say in my last post that we would be more regular with the posts, but as soon as i said that our lock down will be going an extra 6 weeks at least and it was very disappointing. On a positive note though is that Fighters Factory will be open and back to normal the very second we are able. Some more news to tell you is that i will be on the 'Sunrise’ show on monday morning, giving Fighters Factory a plug, and its very good of channel 7 a chance for small business people like my self to survive during these times. It will be great, stay tuned and we will be back to training before you know it! I am not sure what time monday morning, my zoom will be early morning, then they sort it from there Stay well and Fighters Factory fit

03.01.2022 We can't wait to see you back at the gym starting Monday 9th November. There are a few protocols we've put in place to ensure we can all train safely and stay healthy: - We have a QR barcode for you to scan in on your mobile phone on arrival. Please ensure you bring your mobile phone to do this. The code can be found on the front door, front desk bench, doorframe into the gym and the back entrance. Your details will only be used if contact tracing is required. - There is han...d sanitiser at the front desk...though not a bad idea to bring your own as well. - Please bring a towel. - There are spray bottles and paper towel around the gym. Please ensure you wipe down your bag, skipping rope, bike and anything else you have touched at the end of your workout. - Until announced by Dan Andrews, face masks must be work in and out of the gym. Not during your workout ;-) - Lastly, remember you may have lost some fitness during lockdown. Be nice to yourself. It will come back Looking forward to seeing you all with you gloves on!

03.01.2022 Hello everyone! I'm sorry to give you this new's, but sadly since my last post a few days ago Jimmy Parker passed away in hospital 6:30 this morning. Jimmy is a huge part of the history of our gym and he will be sadly missed. Our deepest sympathy goes out to Jimmy's beautiful wife Lorna and Jimmy's family and extended family. We will miss you Jimmy! Rest in peace Jimmy! Murray, Leigh and family.
