22.01.2022 Great start to the 2017 Caught On Camera program....

20.01.2022 Get in quick - Limited spaces!

19.01.2022 We’re looking to find out what happened to approximately 50 Eastern Long-necked Turtles that were found dead on the banks of the Avon River, one kilometre north... of Stratford. Two members of the public reported the incident to us last week and our Forest and Wildlife Officers inspected the area. It appears that a 4WD vehicle has been bogged beside the river in the vicinity of the turtles and we’d like the owner of the 4WD to come forward and speak to us so that we can eliminate them from our enquires. If anyone has any information that may lead us to identify the owner of the 4WD, that would also be of great help. If you have seen anything suspicious or have any further information call us on 136 186 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

18.01.2022 A short video produced by PV of the first managed tour/visit to Bunyip State Park since the fires, by a group of nature and parks volunteers. Very nicely done PV!!

17.01.2022 Here is a photo from our sensor cameras on an Alwal nest at Killarney, and it tells a good story: Since getting Country back in 2014 we have stopped 1080 baitin...g and the results are showing the Dingo boss of Olkola Country ( and Ootalkara in Olkol language) is making a comeback and that is good news for his mate Alwal the endangered golden shouldered parrot and Olkola totem. By bringing healthy numbers of dingo back on Olkola Country, he can re-establish himself as the apex predator and keep Alwal’s key threats at bay (predation by feral cats and goannas as well as keeping wallabies from overgrazing on cockatoo grass, the main food for Alwal). The camera picked up the same dingo hanging around this nest the whole breeding season and it ended up having no signs of predation and saw successful baby Alwal chicks fledge. Olkola Land Managers are looking after our totems, and our totems are looking out for each other. With Bush Heritage Australia

17.01.2022 Too true, too numerous, too bloody many!

16.01.2022 The latest news on the condition of and accessibility to our beautiful park has been released from PV's office at Gembrook entitled "Bunyip State Park Community Update (Issue 2 June 2019)". You should be able to find the link at https://parkweb.vic.gov.au/explore/parks/bunyip-state-park.

16.01.2022 To be reschedulled - Sadly the BGT has been severly burnt by the Bunyip bushfire over the last 2 days. It is expected that NO ACCESS will be allowed into the burnt area for the foreseable future. An alternate activity will be scheduled after all fire threats in BSP have been resolved....

07.01.2022 Spotted all too regularly out in fire dams around BSP. Help report, remove and destroy whenever you see them please!!

04.01.2022 Great story on Carmel & Jasper's very recent experiences with the devastating fire in the BSP area... Thanks Kat for sharing it!

03.01.2022 Please help ...

01.01.2022 With the disastrous wildfires (still active!) in BSP, and the severe fire impact on southern facing damp forest areas, this petition must be considered when we start the inevitable process of recovery, review and re-strategising living alongside and managing our native forests and parks....
