25.01.2022 SHARE PICTURES with CRF Photo & text: John Blackwell, Geraldton Modern day cameras are amazing things!... Some things that you see in nature from a distance can seem a little mundane until you either get very close or you get a photo that you can zoom in on and you get to see the beauty and evolutionary marvels that nature has to offer. Take for instance the Little Black Cormorant. From a distance it is just black. Viewed from close up its eyes are a beautiful emerald green, its wing and tail feathers reflect colours from sunlight and its body feathers look like animal fur. With my new eyes (camera) I really enjoy sitting by the Chapman river taking in the sights. SHARE PICTURES with CRF : Take your camera with you in the park and share a special time with CRF. Send one picture with a short text by email: [email protected].

22.01.2022 We need to raise $30k to implement the next garden bed. A kidney shape that extends out from the circle garden we have just planted. It is raised on one side with a walk track through the middle. Will you join froggs or renew your membership and help make this happen? You can sign up online here

19.01.2022 Two SALE days to go... have a look at these small to medium flowering gums that grow exceptionally well in Geraldton. Suitable for gardens, or larger properti...es. They are wind, drought and heat tolerant. Three of these flower in summer, creating great habitat and a food source for birds and bees in the dry times. The coral gum flowers now. With a weekly watering of 5 litres they will grow like mad.. They DON'T need fertiliser, sprays, or any special soil mixes, they just love it in the natural soil. I get have frequent feedback from customers of these seedlings reaching more than 1 meter high in their first year. If you have the capacity to water seedlings through their first summer you will see spectacular results. OUR SALE is on until Sunday 27th September .. Open Thursday to Sunday, 10.00- 5.00pm 333 David Road, Waggrakine, Mb: Johnny 0148381628 Local Plants, Local people, Local wisdom.

19.01.2022 We have one of these planted in the new Botanic Garden section in Maitland Park. Featured in the NACC Newsletter. Learn more about it here.

14.01.2022 It is always inspiring when community groups like Friends of Geraldton Gardens - Froggs Inc work together for the betterment of our community. This weekend I wa...s fortunate to attend the Picnic in the Park Botanic Garden Launch - a fantastic initiative to create a beautiful botanic garden right in the middle of town at Maitland Park. You can see the first step in the project at the entrance to the park. I am pictured her with Irene and Stan from Friends of Geraldton Gardens - Froggs Inc, two of the driving forces behind this great project. Friends of Geraldton Gardens - Froggs Inc also have a GoFundMe page for those who would like to contribute to help the Geraldton Botanic Garden become a reality: https://www.gofundme.com/f/qujnc-geraldton-botanic-garden
