25.01.2022 A conversation could change a life Today is R U OK? Day. This day aims to raise the importance of making meaningful connections with our friends, family and work colleagues. Feelings of isolation, disconnection and feeling as though you are a burden to others are the biggest reasons why a person may take their own life. YOU can help others by taking the time to: 1 - Ask "R U OK?" 2 - Listen 3 - Encourage action 4 - Check in... Today we are raising awareness for R U OK Day by having a fun staff quiz to promote conversation and test just how well we know and listen to each other. There is a small prize for the winner but each of our amazing educators will also receive a wellbeing goody bag. Please remember to check in with your friends and families R U OK?

Displaying balancing skills, co-ordination, independence, confidence and gross motor skills, our nursery children continue to show us how capable and competent they are.

23.01.2022 We hope the children enjoyed yesterday's home learning experience that Julia recorded. Today we have an extension of that learning which our new Toddler Room Leader, Courtney, put together for our families. Stay safe everyone!

22.01.2022 Happy Early Childhood Educators Day to all of our amazing Educators! We would like to say a huge thank you to our Future Super Stars educators for everything that they do, day in, day out, for our beautiful children and families. Without our incredible team, we would be nothing! It has been such a difficult and strange year, hopefully we are through the worst of it and things will slowly start to return to "normal". Through it all, our educators have shown flexibility, understanding, patience and resilience and for that we say thank you To our valued team, have a wonderful, well deserved, very special day

08.01.2022 We celebrated Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Day today at Future Super Stars. In addition to our Daily Acknowledgement of Country, the children used playdough to create Aboriginal symbols and we talked about what the symbols represent. We also had lots of fun rolling paint onto our hands and feet and making prints on the paper to create this super sized Aboriginal flag. Last week we explored creating an Aboriginal flag using loose parts. The children have embraced the...se engaging experiences that our wonderful team of educators planned for the children. #NATSIChildrensDay2020 #EldersOfTomorrow #StrongInCulture #EarlyLearningMatters **Service Provider to Melbourne Polytechnic Education Campus Epping** https://www.futuresuperstars.com.au

06.01.2022 What a fantastic morning tea we shared with our families on Thursday. Thank you to everyone that came along, we love being able to come together and celebrate the little community we have here at Future Super Stars A big thank you to our amazing educators for the fun and engaging learning experiences planned for our special morning and also to Bella's Face Creations for the beautiful face painting and glitter tattoos. Have a happy Easter (Photos - Part 1)

06.01.2022 A few weeks ago, the lovely team at THYME On Dalton gifted us the most beautiful Lebanese flat breads to share with the children. The aroma of freshly baked bread was met with comments of "mmmm yum" by the children who were excited to taste the bread. As educator Melinda cut up the bread, the children called out which bread they wanted to try. As the children finished their first piece of bread they said more please!. The cheese and zaatar were the favourite flavours with the children eating them all up! The children worked together to create a THANK YOU poster to show THYME On Dalton our appreciation for their kindness. We were thrilled to see the children's poster appear on Thyme on Dalton's Instagram stories! We're so happy to have made this connection within our community. Thank you THYME On Dalton!

05.01.2022 Our Road Safety Project is officially underway! We are thrilled to be collaborating with Ryan from Traffic Lights for Kinders who has very generously donated a fully interactive traffic light. The pole was installed over the weekend and although the lights are yet to be attached, our little superstars were already initiating conversations today about the colours on a traffic light and what the red and green person represents. There was lots of button pressing too! A road painted on the concrete for the children to ride the bikes on will complete our project, which was inspired by the Victorian Early Childhood "Starting Out Safely" road education program. We will update with photos as our project takes shape

04.01.2022 Enjoy your mid-week break, we'll see you again tomorrow

02.01.2022 An important message for our families

02.01.2022 One of our amazing educators tested this DIY paint recipe over the weekend. After a quick test run today, we're giving it 2 thumbs up! To make this super simple paint, simply mix together 1 Cup of flour 1 Cup of salt ... And enough water to make the mixture a smooth consistency (approx 2 cups) Once the mixture is a smooth consistency, not too thick and not too thin, divide the mixture between 3 clean recycled pasta sauce jars. Then add a generous squirt of food colour to each jar and ta da! Beautiful homemade paint Today's home learning has been posted to Storypark, we hope to see some more photos of your child engaged in play at home
