25.01.2022 Youre Getting Married!!! But what does this really mean? Sitting in a coffee shop today preparing a ceremony and a couple of young ladies sat on the table besi...de me. One of them is getting married! (The irony was not lost on me!!) The excitement was obvious - both young ladies talking about all things wedding. The dress, the bridesmaids, the reception, the food, the photography, the hens night.... but not once about the ceremony. Sometimes in the fluster we lose the focus on the what. What is it we are doing? We are about to make a lifelong commitment to another person, a commitment to a lifetime of love and support. The wedding is the ceremony to confirm this commitment and promise - everything else is a celebration of this union, of the wedding, of the marriage. Luckily, it inspired me and the ceremony I was composing is now even more beautiful than ever! My advice: Dont lose focus on the what are we doing? :)

17.01.2022 My Grandson (Mstr 6) wished me a Happy Love Day this morning. It was so beautiful and so sincere and then it made me think.... Why just one day?? In many of my ceremonies we talk about the marriage killer - Complacency - Marriage is an empty box. You can only take out as much as you put in. My suggestion-make many days in the year Love Day. Dont mark them on a calendar be SPONTANEOUS. As Dr Phil says - when you wake up in the morning ask yourself How can I make his/her ...life good today? Remember its not the annual $100 bouquet of roses - its the little things! Wishing all of my Brides and Grooms a wonderful Love Day - may it be one of many xxxx
