Prof. Henrique Eiji @henriqueeiji one of the Head Instructors at GB Sydney, will be teaching an intensive NoGi Half Guard Attack workshop. Often called Professor "Magic" for his wizard like skills on the mats, Profess Henrique has an incredible game and he is looking forward to sharing some of his tricks with us.... Professor Julio @gbwestryde called my name and presented me with a purple belt! I was shocked couldn’t speak holding back tears! This has been a long ass journey for myself through the years. I never thought I’d get this far and still can’t believe it. Professor Julio took me in as white belt wh...en I was struggling to find somewhere to train and I was ready to quit the day I walked into his gym. Fast forward a few years I have learnt so much from professor Julio not just about BJJ but in life too! 2019 and 2020 have been a rough few years for me, going through mental health battles and then my mums illness towards the end 2019. I made the effort to continue to train consistently through that time because it was one of the few things I looked forward to each day. I remember @theblackbeltsurfer Dave Nagel telling in some of my first lessons, that no matter how shit things are mentally if you come to BJJ you’ll feel better after it this still holds up today! Professor Julio has allowed me to come train, laugh with, get beaten up by all the killers that he has developed over the years.
