Norco has brought their progressive design for 9-12 year old riders requiring more than just shorter measurements and smaller tubes; this Fluid FS 1 24 is built with low standover, longer reach, youth-tuned suspension components and a dropper that is optimised for lighter riders .

20.01.2022 A lengthy article recently published in the USA trade magazine Bicycle Retailer and Industry News (BRAIN) is a sobering reality check for bicycle dealers around the world. Factories across China and Taiwan are not suffering from shut-downs due to Covid-19. They’re open and running at full capacity. But the problem is that even at maximum factory production, capacity cannot keep up with demand. Bicycle retailers and wholesalers across the developed world have virtually sold ou...t of every popular price point and model. That means no-one has backup stocks and every new bike that lands is going straight through the supply chain to consumers. Several suppliers told BRAIN that the bottleneck is not frame making or bike assembly, which is commonly done in Taiwan, China, Cambodia or Vietnam. Instead it’s the lack of availability of key components including Shimano parts made in Singapore and Malaysia. Factories in both those countries shut down in late April but returned to full capacity in June and July, according to government statistics. Bike brands looking to place new component orders have been told not to expect delivery until as late as the second quarter of 2021 for some parts. Even if factories were to invest millions to expand their capacity, it could take a year to build and commission new factories, machinery and production lines. Meanwhile, in Australia, importers of several bike brands have reported that even 2022 model year production scheduled for May 2021 is being pushed back to July by some manufacturers due to lack of parts availability!

12.01.2022 Norco Storm 2021 - Voluntary Recall Sugek CS-M3007 7-Speed Cassette on MY21 Storm 4 & Storm 5 Norco has initiated this Voluntary Recall which affects the Sugek CS-M3007 7-Speed cassettes equipped on the above-mentioned Norco Bicycle models sold between 1st June 2020 and 20th July 2020.... There is a possibility that Sugek CS-M3007 7-Speed can skip unexpectedly under extreme drivetrain loads on the 11 tooth cog with the specific combination of drivetrain components equipped uniquely on 2021 Storm 4 and Storm 5 models. Norco has received a limited number of reports of skipping under heavy load on 2021 Storm 4 & 5 models and no notice of any resulting injuries. Norco strongly recommends that consumers stop riding these bicycles immediately and return the bike to the nearest Norco Bicycle dealer who will install a new replacement SunRace 7-Speed cassette. To assist in the recall, we will be reaching out to customers who provided their contact details at time of purchase; alternatively, customers that have purchased one of the affected bicycles can return the product to our store for the replacement cassette to be fitted free of charge.

Delays in production and delays in shipment both at point of origin, freight duration and disembarkation.
