22.01.2022 Great news! On Friday night at the 2019 Interior Design Excellence Awards (IDEA) we were very honoured for Genesin Studio to win on the national stage for Best Hospitality design for our project BanBan! Congratulations to all the other winners and short-listed. This amazing event was hosted at the Timber Yard Port Melbourne with a full house of 600 people. The project included our friends at Peculiar Familia for the importance of including branding, illustrations, graphics ...and interiors to weave together the components that make this K-pop minimalist project fun to all the punters. A big thanks to all the judges and the team at Niche Media for an amazing event. Thanks to Lia, our suppliers and our team of trades that made this happen. 19.01.2022 AGDA South Australia has invited Ryan Genesin to give a quick talk at University of South Australia today as part of the Alphabet Soup event series. The event is designed as a Pecha Kucha style presentation. Each speaker will present 20 slides, each appearing on screen for 20 seconds. This fast-paced approach is intended to shine a light on how various accomplished designers go about developing workand to show that there is no single right way to tackle a brief. By rev...ealing a multitude of different approaches we hope to inspire designers to rethink their own processes, to have confidence in their own unique abilities and explore ways of thinking. Following the presentations, there will be a 20-30 minute panel discussion. In addition, we have also been short-listed for Best Restaurant Design for 2 projects, Antica Pizzeria E Cucina and Viet Next Door Very strong, calm and varied range of projects. One of our projects BanBan was shortlisted for Hospitality category amongst another amazing year of restaurant & bar entries. Ban Ban is Adelaides first Korean Fried Chicken [KFC] and beer eatery sporting a low-tech K-Pop minimalist interior with playful branding to capture freshly cooked share foods. Our concept was to create a playful space that... reflects the playful food and cocktail list which is unique to western palettes.
