17.01.2022 I’m always browsing through recipes that are a healthy take on classics, like this Kingston biscuit. I usually pop them into my saved items with the intention to come back and make ‘when I have time’. Well this weekend I made time and although I thought it would be really challenging it was actually very simple and cathartic to do. I got my inspiration from @healthyluxe (this app is incredible) and just had to make some modifications to the chocolate ganache as I didn’t have macadamia butter or coconut nectar so instead I used cacao butter and maple syrup and it’s delish. . . #healthyliving #makinghealthychoices #getoutofyourcomfortzone #healthysnacks #weekendmood #winner



16.01.2022 I’ve been feeling all the feels - I’m pregnant, I’m a Mum to a toddler, a partner, working full time, studying, building an exciting somethin’ coming soon and taking care of myself all at the same time. It’s fair to say life is unbelievably busy. But with all this, guess what I’m not? I’m not tired, angry, stressed, afraid, excited or worried to name a few. I feel all these emotions but I’m not them! What I mean is I used to habitually personalise and identify with all the... different emotions that would arise in me and then run with them. A lot of the time, I would also let these emotions determine the outcome of my day. But through mindfulness practice I’ve learnt to (most of the time ) notice the emotions as they manifest in my mind and body - without taking them to be self or personalising them. It’s a bit like watching a cloud form in the sky. The clouds appear, forming due to certain conditions, the conditions change and the clouds pass away. And in meditation practice I learn to have that open sky of the mind - be open to the feelings and emotions that pop up, to be there, to be experienced and then dissolve as the conditions change and then carry on with my day. 12.01.2022 A little over a month ago when Alex and sat in a bar not realising this was the last time we would be able to for a long time. It almost like the universe knew would be the case and served up the most delicious Singapore Sling (virgin for me) and scrumptious tapas I’ve ever tasted @raffleshotelsingapore I took it for granted that restaurants, bars and clubs were just open and available to serve and now I know with absolutely certainty that the next time we are afforded the ...PRIVILEGE to go to one I will do so with humility, respect and gratitude. Gratitude - that’s the doors are open and my family can sit among other families and just be surrounded by people. Respect - for all the business owners who fought through this incredibly hard time and made it through; and Humility- that after everything businesses have gone through they still choose to open their doors and offer a service to us. . . #tbt #gratitude #respect #humility #supportsmallbusiness

Oatmeal Banana Bread with Chocolate Chips . 1 cup wholemeal flour ~ 1 cup rolled oats ~ 1.5 tsp baking powder ~ 2 tsp vanilla extract ~ 1/2 coconut oil melted OR 1/4 organic butter melted + 1/4 olive oil ~ 4 large ripe bananas ~ 2 medium eggs ~ 1/4 raw honey ~ chocolate chips. ... . . Combine dry ingredients in one bowl and wet ingredients in another. Mix together then stir in chocolate chips. 10.01.2022 Tomorrow you turn 2 and I’m not sure if I’m teary because I’m pregnant or because this is actually really emotional! I keep thinking in less than 6 months everything is going to change and wonder what impact this is going to have on you and the bond we share. I feel like the days of unlimited time and attention with you are numbered and it breaks my heart to think I’ll ever do something to make you sad. Hopefully having another sibling will trump that and I’m worried and anxious for nothing. In a way, tomorrow kind of represents the change beginning and let’s just say I’m not that great with change or things not staying the same.
