25.01.2022 I've just been invited to my first Writers Festival, as a WRITER! This is significant and exciting in ways that make me awfully happy. All sorts of fun feelings, starting with gratitude.

25.01.2022 Thanks a huge bunch to the generous persons who have liked this page. Apparently 57likes on day one is good going! If you're looking for it..It's available at Paper Bird , Elizabeth's, New Edition and Saga Bookshop in Fremantle, Oxford St Books in Leederville, Dymocks Subiaco , Busselton and Ellenbrook, Crow Books Vic Park and the Bell Tower! And WA Art Gallery and State Library Bookshop! I think that's all.............

24.01.2022 This little illustrated ripping yarn gains traction, bit by bit. It will be on sale in the Perth Festival Writers Week bookshop, courtesy of Boffins Books and the eminent William Yeoman. It's very encouraging when every bookshop employee I speak to tells me they really like it.

22.01.2022 Delighted to find this on the inside cover of the West school holiday supplement. The Ghost gets traction.

21.01.2022 Any publicity...

18.01.2022 I'm very pleased to see that this little Ghost Story seems to moving of its own volition, that friends and rels (of Michael and me) are buying multiple copies for Christmas presents because they think ( and tell me) that they really think it's a great little book. I was told in no uncertain terms by members of the Storyguild last night that it's very good as it is and I shouldn't consider changing anything for it's next edition. That's affirmation.

17.01.2022 The Ghost in the Bell Tower returns tonight to Fairbridge Chapel. At midnight!

11.01.2022 The Ghost in the Bell Tower got home ( by circuitous route) to St-Martins-in-the-Field. Thank you so much for facilitating this Wendy Yorke.

11.01.2022 Greetings from the other side of Hallowe'en. We shared much spookiness at the Grove Library Wednesday eve, estimates of child numbers exceed 250, plus parents etc. Find my (unusually readable and tellable) West Australian Ghost Story at Saga Bookshop in Sth Terrace, Fremantle, and Paper Bird Book, Henry St. Fremantle.

08.01.2022 Probably my favourite illo in the book. An image inspired by the opening sequence of Dracula has Risen from the Grave, a Hammer Horror flick I watched from the back seat of my mum's Anglia when I was about 10. Scared me witless and the imagery of blood running over the hand stayed with me. Michael Adeane's scraperboard illustration captures the moment of horror.

07.01.2022 A ghost story for Christmas. What could be more traditional?

06.01.2022 I made my debut on Sunday as an author/presenter at the Perth Writers Festival, as a storyteller presenting my new book courtesy of the wonderful people at Paper Bird Books. I had a lovely audience and sold ( and signed) books! My next Writer gig will be the Children's Book Council of Australia WA annual roundup of new publications A Night with Our Stars on Thursday, presenting to a delightful horde of Librarians and Teacher-librarians, an event I've been attending for yea...rs, and this will be my first time as a presenter. Very, very exciting stuff. Meanwhile, my book is selling in all its outlets and I'm gratified that everyone ( including the bookshop staff) who reads it tells me they enjoy it. I'm well on track to sell half my print run in the first twelve months since publication and will then move on to book two in the series. Thankyou for your support! See more

06.01.2022 The Ghost in the Belltower is now available in Albany, WA at Paperbark Merchants , a delightful book shop.

05.01.2022 The ghost has been seen in a new bookshop. This one is Collins Booksellers in Napoleon St Cottesloe. Featuring delightful Rosie behind the counter.
