Maria and the team at the White Bear Foundation run a fantastic program for 7 - 13 year olds so if you are interested in supporting a young person in your life to feel more confident in a safe environment take a look!

22.01.2022 Thursday just past was World Suicide Prevention Day & R U Ok Day. It's great that there is a specific day to bring awareness to a topic that is all too often hidden away. However we would love to encourage everyone to reach out not just on that day but any day to ask someone you know "Are you ok?" and be there to listen - not do just listen. You never know how that simple questions could make all the difference!

22.01.2022 Twas the night before packing day and all through the Gold Coast it was pouring with rain... but don't fear - we're undercover!! We're all set for packing day tomorrow and ready for our helpers to arrive at 9am at All Saints Anglican School. Key points for tomorrow's packing day: Use Gate 1 on Highfield Drive in Merrimac and stick to the left and you'll find us in the undercover area at the end of the driveway.... Registration is 9am, everyone will need to fill out the indemnity and COVID Survey on arrival via QR Code. Rain, hail or shine, we're on! There will be a Sausage Sizzle ready for you when you arrive with drinks for a donation. The coffee van couldn't make it this year, so BYO coffee! If you're feeling unwell, or have any cold like symptoms, please refrain from coming on the day and take care of yourself. If you haven't registered online yet, don't worry, just come along and we'll have you covered. It's a much more streamlined process this year with changes due to COVID, so we will simply be packing the baskets and getting you on your way (no colouring, tinsel, cards etc. So we suspect we'll be all done and you on the road for delivery by 10:30am. See you tomorrow!

22.01.2022 I know we say this every year - but the years are flying by faster and faster! We're now under 2 months away from packing day. To deliver another 500 baskets this year, we need $25,000. We haven't been able to secure as many fundraising BBQ's this year and we're a long way from that number. $50 Allows us to Help a Family This Christmas... We are honoured that every year so many of you show up and do your bit to pack and deliver your bags. In the background, we have some generous donors who keep us going from one year to the next. 20.01.2022 International Literacy Day was proclaimed in 1966 in and effort to remind communities (Local and Global) the importance of literacy for individuals and the community. Each year hundreds of books are gifted in our Basket Brigade Baskets across Australia and our Youth Program sees hundreds of young people provided opportunity to learn. What local or global literacy efforts do you know of? We would love to hear about other efforts to help educate around the world.

02.01.2022 Due to the current issues facing our global community the board of the Magic Moments Foundation have decided to postpone the 2020 Magic Moments Youth Leadership & Business Summit until July 2021. If you were registered to attend in any capacity you will shortly receive an email about the next steps. We are working with our speakers to deliver much needed online content to support all the youth in our community during these uncertain times. We wish your family health and we...llness at this time and be assured that this too shall pass. Use these rare moments to connect with your family members, play board games, set up obstacle / home work out courses in your back yards, cook food together and support each other. Before we know it we will all be back to our busy lives and it will be the memories of this time that we will hold onto - so make some great memories. If anyone needs support at this time then please reach out, don't be afraid to seek help and know that there are many people who want to help you through this.
