18.01.2022 This week we wrote some poems and chatted about poetry. Not all poems have to rhyme but most have rhythm. Perhaps the most simple Poem is an Acrostic Poem; this describes a noun and doesn’t have to rhyme. What are you like at Tongue Twisters? Our conclusion following our competition is that perhaps women speak faster (and more) than men!!... September 10th is RU OK? day in Australia. It is a day when we are encouraged to check-in with anyone we feel may be struggling emotionally. For information about what to say and how we may help others please go to ruok.org.au Next week is our last lesson of the term. During the 2 week school holiday break we would love to organise a social catch-up (picnic morning tea or lunch) with you all. We will discuss it in class next week but please have a think about what day (Wednesday or Saturday) would suit you best for the picnic. Have a great week and we look forward to seeing you next Wednesday.

17.01.2022 It was great to be back at Goodlife this week for our Good English lesson. So nice to see familiar, as well as new faces. We spaced out well in our large room so it was easy to comply with Covid19 distancing restrictions. Thanks to everyone for helping and ensuring these requirements are met. We chatted about the Covid pandemic; good and bad things experienced during lockdown, conspiracy theories and how its affected us all. What have you learnt from the experience.... July 17th is World Emoji Day, this made up the second half of our lesson. Do you use Emojis to express your feelings and emotions during text communication? Most people do and it is considered the fastest growing language in history. What emoji would describe how you are feeling today? I look forward to seeing you on Wednesday 4pm at Goodlife. Take care and stay well.
