24.01.2022 Wow! Thank you! These just came in. So many amazing items that will add so much to many backpacks.

22.01.2022 Good morning all and I hope you have a wonderful day! Last week I dropped off more backpacks, snacks and baby wipes to Nerang Child Safety. Thanks to all who helped provide supplies. While I was visiting the Nerang Child Safety Office we were discussing further needs. At the moment due to Covid the need to practice heightened health measures are essential. They mentioned the need for activity packs, as often the children are in the office with nothing to do and anything ...they give a child must stay with the child due to health precautions. If you would love to help out we're in need of activity packs. That means a colouring book and crayons, coloured pencils and a pencil sharpener or textas. Little stationery packs would also work. If you could drop off these supplies to 351 Creek St, Ormeau during normal office hours or on a Sunday between 8.30am and 10.30am. There is always a basket out the front that you can leave supplies in once you arrive. Thanks so much for all your support! See more

22.01.2022 Good morning all! Mermaid Child Safety have let me know of a need that they are currently trying to solve. They are seeking a bike for a 13 year old boy who has a significant brain injury, which has left him with some paralysis along his right side. Due to this he has trouble with the normal braking system with bikes. NDIS funding has been approved to modify an existing bike. Mermaid Child Safety is needing help with money to purchase a bike for this young man. They're estimating a budget of $400 will be needed to purchase the right bike. If you can help out in any way please inbox Gotcha Back. Could you also share this post with your friends.

22.01.2022 We're on the hunt for more drink bottles suitable for younger children from 2 years old up to 8 years old, pencil sharpeners and some size 16 summer pjs for boys. If you would love to help us out, please drop off the supplies to 351 Creek St, Ormeau during normal office hours. Thank you for your ongoing support. We can't do this without you!

21.01.2022 Thanks to those who have helped ensure the past 2 stories have been taken care of. Today our story is about a single father and his two children. He has a three and a half year old girl and a two year old girl. The children have been with their father for the past two months. The girls really enjoy playing with dolls and sensory toys, such as squishy balls, play dough and paints. A food hamper and some gifts would benefit this family, as this would help lighten the financial load given they are also moving house at Christmas time.

21.01.2022 Thank you to all the amazing people who dropped off these beautiful supplies for Gotcha Back. So many backpacks will be filled with all these items!

20.01.2022 Good morning! We have the opportunity to get behind some new projects through Gotcha Back. I had a meeting a few weeks ago with Labrador Child Safety and to begin with we're going to be providing toiletry packs for teenagers and for young people that Street C.R.E.D on the Gold Coast help care for. Street C.R.E.D work with young people who are at risk, homeless or vulnerable. They are made up of many different stakeholders working together to help make the streets on the G...old Coast safe. Some of these stakeholders include the Police, Child Safety and Youth Justice. We're about to pack up 50 toiletry packs to send and I'm in need of face washers, hand towels, rolls on deodorants male and female, hair combs and hair brushes. If you can help with any items please drop them off asap to 351 Creek St, Ormeau during normal office hours or on Sundays from 8am till 11am or 4pm till 7pm. See more

20.01.2022 Just wanted to share some of what has been happening. This year we have begun to assist Mermaid Waters Child Safety with whatever they need. A few months ago, thanks to many generous people we were able to send shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothbrushes and toothpaste down to Mermaid. Recently I was contacted by Mermaid Child Safety asking if we could assist a young man who they were trying to get back into attending school. He was in need of some new shoes and had his hear...t set on a certain type. I had someone who was happy to donate a Rebel Voucher to help his desires come true. His Child Safety worker was able to take him shopping and purchase him the shoes, as well as some jumpers. He was apparently one happy guy! Thank you for all who continue to support. We're not just providing practical care, but we're helping young people in our local community understand that they're valuable and loved. This is the most important part of what we do! See more

18.01.2022 The amazing Susan from Scentsy donated 3 boxes of these beautiful soft toys and other Scentsy products to put in backpacks. They're absolutely gorgeous and smell amazing. There's going to be lots of happy kids!

17.01.2022 We're blown away by people's generosity! These amazing supplies were dropped off for backpacks. Thank you!

17.01.2022 Good morning! We've packed up a stack more backpacks to send to Nerang and we've now run out of men's roll on deodrant. (Please no spray deodrant) Beenleigh Child Safety would also love some activity packs for their office. If you can help provide any of of these items they can be delivered to 351 Creek St, Ormeau and placed in the the basket situated outside the front door. Thanks so much and have the best day! Feel free to share with friends.

17.01.2022 Hi all, we are running low on crayons at the moment. If you're able to help by donating some crayons that would be great. I'm trying to make sure we're stocked before we can't. Our drop off point is at Highway Church, 351 Creek St, Ormeau. Due to government regulations the building is closed to all public. I've set up a basket outside, as seen in the picture. This will be here during business hours. Please drop off any supplies and put in this basket, but don't enter the building. Thank you so much for all your support. Yesterday I was able to drop off mountains of soap to Nerang Child Safety, as well as shampoo, conditioner, combs, soap, toothbrushes and toothpaste to Mermaid Child Safety. Thank you for helping us continuing to support our Community through this extremely tough time! We're all in this together.

15.01.2022 Thank you to The Sewing Lair in Beenleigh, who donated some amazing activity packs and other supplies to Gotcha Back. Your generosity is greatly appreciated!

14.01.2022 Currently Mermaid Child Safety is also in need of $20 Kmart Gift Vouchers. The biggest need they have is for clothing for kids who are what they call self-placed and for children who are still with mum and dad. Clothing often becomes a second thought due to financial pressures. A $20 kmart gift card would give the children and young people an opportunity to choose out some clothing items that they like. If you can help please drop off any Kmart Gift Cards to 351 Creek St, Ormeau during normal office hours or you can inbox Gotcha Back. Please share this post with your friends.

14.01.2022 Good morning! I caught up with Mermaid Child Safety a few weeks ago. They mentioned that currently they have a lot of teenagers who end up being brought back to Child Safety with all they're belonging in garbage bags. A lot of these young people have had a huge amount of trauma and challenges occur to them over their lifetime and are having a hard time adjusting to doing life well. Their stuff in garbage bags is not acceptable! We're going to join forces and do something... about this! Our goal is to provide luggage for 10 young people. I think duffle bags on wheels like the one below would be what we're after. If you can help by either purchasing and donating duffel bags on wheels like the one below or by providing funding to contribute please inbox me and I'll give you more details. If you want to give the luggage please only give brand new items. Thanks so much and have a great day!

14.01.2022 Good morning all! Hope this time of difference has been more positive than not for you and your family! I'm getting ready to send backpacks to Nerang and Beenleigh. Once this lot of bags goes out we're starting to get low on backpacks, kids 3 in 1 shampoo, size 3 boys summer pj's, underwear for size 14-16 boys and girls, mens small underwear and larger mens socks. We're also still extremely low on crayons. Thanks so much for all your support. These items can be dropped off to 351 Creek St, Ormeau during normal office hours. If you could help by sharing with your friends. We want our whole community to help out. I'm also on the hunt to find out other ways we can help support our community during this time. If you know of any needs please message me. Have a wonderful day!

13.01.2022 Good morning! Thank you to that person is has looked after funding the rest of Family 6, it is greatly appreciated. Family 5 and Family 7 are still available for anyone who wants to help out. Today's story is a about a 17 year old young man. This young person has been diagnosed with ASD. He has been in a primary residential placement since his early teens and is doing very well! Unfortunately their house was broken into last week and the young person’s xbox was stolen. ...He would use his xbox to help him calm his anxiety related to his ASD. He loves his cat, and has just started his first traineeship this week in retail. A Christmas Hamper would be greatly appreciated and would help to give some Christmas joy after the robbery. If you can help send a message to Gotcha Back. Have a wonderful day everyone.

11.01.2022 Thanks King's Pimpama for these amazing supplies for Gotcha Back!

10.01.2022 Good morning everyone! If anyone wanted to help out with yesterday's story, it's still available and you can message me and let me know. Today we have a story that includes a single mum and her four children. The children include a girl who is 11 years old, a girl who is nine years old, a girl who is six years old and a boy who is two years old.... Mum was recently reunified with her 4 children. The children are currently in daycare and school. Mum has worked so hard to have her children placed at home and is awaiting some assistance with housing. The family would appreciate some assistance with Christmas decorations, Christmas food and support purchasing gifts for the children. Age appropriate toys, gifts cards, board games, colouring books, activities and outdoor games are some gift ideas for this family. Mum would appreciate any help and support, as she continues to work with the department while having her children placed at home. If you can help with this story inbox Gotcha Back.

10.01.2022 More supplies and gift cards for Mermaid Child Safety dropped off! Thank you! Moving forward I would like to supply each child safety we help out with a supply of thongs for children and young people of all sizes and ages. I know how often I buy new thongs for my children because they misplace them and so forth. I think it would be an excellent addition to what we already pack for each child. If you're out and about I encourage you to grab some thongs and drop them off to us. 351 Creek St, Ormeau. Normal office hours during the week.

10.01.2022 Good morning! Thanks to all who are taking care of so many Stories. I'm still in need of another $70 to cover yesterday's Story and Story 5 is also still available. Today I have a story about a sixteen year old young lady. This young lady identifies as an aboriginal and was recently removed from her long-term placement and has been placed with new carers only just in October. She loves animals and her goal in the future is to be a vet. It will be her first Christmas without her previous foster mother. A gift for this young lady would be amazing. She loves doing arts and crafts and loves listening to music. If you would love to take care of this young lady inbox Gotcha Back.

09.01.2022 Thank you to those that dropped off these amazing supplies. We appreciate it!

05.01.2022 Thank you to all those who have continued to provide supplies for backpacks! Keep it coming. We sent off more than 20 backpacks to Nerang Child Safety last week, as well as shoes, some bedding and a car seat that in house care can use for the children they come in contact with. Everything we sent was met with a huge amount of gratitude. We couldn't do this without your help!

04.01.2022 Good morning! Thank you to all those who have already said they can help provide rugs for children at Nerang Child Safety and for those who have already dropped them off. It's so appreciated! I'm in need of some Visual Art Diaries that are the A4 size. I know a lot of kids use drawing to calm down and work through stress and I'm keen for us to start putting these diaries in the older kids backpacks. If you can help, drop off the Visual Art Diaries to 351 Creek St, Ormeau during normal office hours or on Sundays between 8am and 11am or 3pm and 7pm. Thank you.

02.01.2022 Last week we had the honour of delivering more bags and supplies to Nerang Child Safety. Thanks to all who made it possible!

02.01.2022 Good morning all. I just wanted to give you an update on the bike for the 13 year old boy who had the challenge of brain damage. After we put the call out we had some amazing people put up their hands to help out with providing the funding for the bike. Last week I was able to purchase a Anaconda gift certificate and deliver it to Child Safety. Apparently the young man received the gift certificate on Thursday night and wanted to take off Friday to purchase the bike becau...se he was so excited! His carer took him on the weekend to get the bike. Apparently he was so thrilled on Monday morning he got up early so he could sit on his bike before school. The bike is ready to be modified so that he can ride it safely and also begin to experience greater independence. This is truly going to have a big impact on his life! Thank you so much to those who made this dream come true for this young man! This is the bike below. See more
