19.01.2022 Today's (11-04-2021) field trip to Corop had a bumpy start with the weather cold and late notices during school holidays, and the rocks dusty from a dry spell. However the five car loads of enthusiasts were soon turned loose and explored three areas on different levels. We again found an area with boulders of solid pyrite, some with quartz inserts and nice golden line patterns. The other sites gave access to a range of colours for cabs. After twelve months away it was good to catch up with the changes and the plans for future blasting, as the crew worked throughout the Covid lockdowns. They have cleared much of the old workings and are ready for more blasting to go down further in the southern end. Many thanks to Warrick for the access.
