21.01.2022 In addition to the previously announced funding for the energy sector, manufacturing and cyber security, the real winners from this years’ Federal Budget are worker and business investment. In particular, the tax loss carry back benefits will support businesses with a turnover under $5b, while the instant asset write-off will allow 99% of businesses to write-off the full value of any eligible asset they purchase for their business. It’s certainly a JobMaker cash splash with our deficit set to exceed $200b, which may well peak at just under $1t before the economy is stabilised. To quote Finance Minister Matthias Cormann, what was the alternative? Read more about how the Federal Budget can support you here: https://okt.to/WzZcqS #federalbudget #Budget2020 #covid19 #JobMaker

19.01.2022 It’s been tricky to balance home, work and school during stage 4 restrictions in Victoria. Open to children between the ages of 5-12, we explored reptiles and science, got our bodies moving with physical activities, drawing and cooking, and even experienced a little bit of magic!

06.01.2022 Over his 30-year career, Andrew Steer has seen a huge shift in the gender diversity conversation. To him, diversity is absolutely necessary and fundamentally about respect. Though its taken time for society to catch up with this thinking, it is vital because our lives, our clients and our businesses can be so much better by being far more inclusive. https://bit.ly/2xkFm8k #ChampionsForAction

06.01.2022 For the most part, business leaders are staying across COVID-19 news and updates, and have 95 per cent of the picture. But its the remaining 5 per cent where even the best continuity plans come undone. This can make or break a business. Alongside Global Health Emergency Response Expert Dr Ian Norton and Greg Keith, we have developed a comprehensive checklist to help you assess your organisations readiness and ability to respond if and when COVID-19 impacts your business. 04.01.2022 JobKeeper has been extended for 6 months to 28 March 2021 at a cost of approximately $16b. The extension allows businesses time to make plans and address cash flow with the aim of phasing JobKeeper out entirely. It is important to note that employers eligible under the current JobKeeper program may not necessarily be eligible under the extended program due to the tighter turnover requirements. Read more about JobKeeper 2.0 here: https://bit.ly/2E6WWA5 #jobkeeper

In addition to funding for skills development and tax reform, the Government is using this opportunity to also review and simplify how funding is allocated with a particular focus on return on investment and accountability for how funding is spent.
