24.01.2022 We did a bit of a different tour on Sunday. Instead of travelling the ocean road we headed inland in the Otways to the Redwood Forest. It really is a place that needs to be seen! The old Californian Redwood trees are absolutely stunning to look at, the stream is crystal clear with trout in it and the rest of the scenery is just amazing. Our region really is unique! I’m not one to have a Facebook rant or air opinions but in light of the world’s current chaos I felt the need to sound off So many small businesses are severely affected and struggling due to the Corona virus. A lot of people think that small businesses owners are wealthy and make heaps of money when the reality is that they are usually only 1 to 2 months of low sales or bad debts not being paid from going under. A lot of people also think ...that small businesses are entitled to up to $25k as a support package when most, including mine qualify for nothing!! What the majority of people with these beliefs don’t understand is that if you break down the hours worked by small business owners that we really only in fact work for a wage and some don’t even have a good wage at that. All I am asking is that you do your best to support small Australian owned business, if you can’t that’s ok but if you can then you might just save your favourite shop, cafe or service so that they don’t have to shut their doors. Along with that, you may also save the kids job that is studying to be our future healthcare professional or the single parents job supporting their children on very little anyway. Our business has done its best to support as many local community groups as possible and we are certainly not looking for handouts. What we have done however is slash our pricing in the hope that we still get some work. Be it a small job or big we love what we do and hope that we can sustain to keep this pricing going forward. If you would like to enjoy our beautiful region with us you don’t need to do it now! We sell vouchers and take bookings so if you are looking for yourself or looking for a unique gift please consider us. Its a real thrill getting to meet different people every day and witness their reactions to what they see. Here are 2 of my recent guests, it really was a special day for me meeting 2 absolute superstars of their sports and to say they are nice people would be a massive understatement! Ive always been ...a Caroline Wozniaki fan ( former womens world number 1 tennis player and 2018 Australian open champion ) and and her husband David Lee ( former NBA superstar for the New York Knicks and Golden State Warriors ).
