25.01.2022 For those of you who haven't already seen the update...

20.01.2022 You may have noticed Kokoda Youth Founder and Chairman Doug Henderson along the track yesterday. You would be pleased to know Doug crossed the finish line of the 30KM event to thunderous applause from the crowd on Saturday night in a time 9:38:52. Doug defines everything that is Kokoda! #courage #mateship #sacrifice #endurance Brilliant mate @doug_henderson well done Kokoda Challenge - Brisbane #BKC19

19.01.2022 A blast from the past! Former GSLC teacher and GSLC Kokoda leader (2017) Deb Wamsley bumps into Mrs Rose-Smith crossing the creek on the the 30km. Mrs Wamsley is now at St Andrews Lutheran on the Gold Coast and keeping the Kokoda spirit alive. Awesome!!

18.01.2022 COVID-19 update for The Kokoda Challenge events.

18.01.2022 If you’re in Bris next weekend (March 15) check out the Kokoda expo/info day.

15.01.2022 Congratulations to all GSLC Kokoda teams for an awesome effort in the 2019 Brisbane Kokoda Challenge. A very special mention to all the parents and staff who generously gave up their time to organise, encourage, motivate, support and lead their teams across the finish line yesterday. Crossing the finish line would not be possible without your efforts, so big thanks to each and everyone of you :) Lastly, to the families who supported our teams along the track, thanks for the ...snacks at the checkpoints and the high-five and cheers as we we went by. It means a lot and lifts our spirits, so thanks to you all on behalf of all the GSLC Kokoda participants. Hope to see you all again next year. Yours in gratitude, Jason :) See more

13.01.2022 Swell’s up so ZERO parking around the National Park this morning. Three laps & then found one near Lions Park! Late start but might see a few Kokoda Crew along the Coast Track. Try again next week

12.01.2022 Due to the message received today from Kokoda, that all events have been cancelled until further notice, I will need to withdraw our entry - twenty GSLC teams! In the coming days I will email leaders to discuss our options. Hopefully when all this passes we'll get back to it :)

12.01.2022 Group training Starts this week (15 March) Noosa National Park 7am. For anyone who is interested, the group (Kokoda Crew) meets informally each Sunday morning at 7am near the info hut (weather permitting). These walks are generally 1.5 hours but tend to get longer as the event draws closer. Everyone is welcome to join the group for these hikes or welcome to do their own thing. **Please note Although I am (& other GSLC staff) are there most Sundays, this is not a formal s...chool event. Therefore, I/we are not responsible for students and others attending. Team leaders and/or parents will need to be comfortable with this arrangement and make suitable arrangements with their child for drop-off and pick-up. Comfortable clothing, good socks, sturdy shoes and adequate water are essential. People attending are encouraged to follow the Bush-walker's Code of Conduct. See more

09.01.2022 Update from The Kokoda Challenge

09.01.2022 A little vid of our 30km adventure!

09.01.2022 Dear Kokoda Crew, Really sorry but the meeting (albeit an informal meeting anyway) of the Sunday morning GSLC Kokoda Crew at the Noosa National Park is paused for the time being. Hoping you can all keep up the training in whatever capacity that is and may become. Optimistic that things can return to normal as soon as possible and we can all get out there together. Stay safe, happy and healthy. JG :)

07.01.2022 Light up the dawn on ANZAC DAY. At 6am, you can stream the RSL audio file of a short commemorative service from wherever you are at home.

02.01.2022 That 'Kokoda' word is starting to buzz around the college this week! Yep, it's that time of year when students are organising their teams, discussing the distance they'll attempt this year and looking for leaders. It's absolutely fantastic that our students love Kokoda and the positive buzz that surrounds it never gets old!
