25.01.2022 A day of exploring means a cool off in the mud

24.01.2022 Poor Teddy is having some issues with his hips and back legs. He has known hip dysplasia but this time, the lameness is more serious on his back right leg. We are hoping it’s not cruciate He’ll be off to the vets for x-rays and further diagnostics to determine a suitable plan for Teddy. For now, he’s resting at Aimee’s feet in the lounge room

23.01.2022 Young Wyatt is at it again! Saved his pocket money to purchase treats and toys for our rescue dogs! You are a Superstar Wyatt

23.01.2022 Zoe making Piper feel right at home here at GAAR HQ Piper arrived into our care late this week. She is a 12 year old medium 15kg female cross-breed. Piper has a pot belly appearance and will be undertaking further diagnostics with our vet next week. We are hoping that everything is okay and nothing comes back too serious.... Keep an eye out for Pipers profile at a later date.

23.01.2022 Welcome to Dogs Playing for Life! We have been researching, watching, reading, and watching all about enrichment and play groups in shelter environments and how these can help organisations to better assess behaviour, maintain healthy behaviour, and support better adoption matches. Many shelters simply cannot meet their physical and emotional needs, particularly for those that struggle with behaviours that are perceived as aggressive....Continue reading

23.01.2022 Sorry guys, we have been pretty snowed down with some hands on components of our work and therefore haven’t been able to respond to many emails and Facebook messages. Dogs happiness and wellness is our number 1 priority and then everyone else comes after. I have some time set aside tonight to respond to all of you, so once again thanks for your patience. Everyone who applied for Bentley, Ruby, Jack and Brandy will be responded to as well as surrender requests. ... As I am currently in the process of doing a restructure to make things run smoother, it’s been a bit of bumpy sailing to get to that point and we are a little bit off still. Picture of Harley for attention

21.01.2022 Welcome little Echo! We collected Echo on a freedom ride from the RSPCA Lonsdale when we went up to collect a new intense behavioural rehab case (to be introduced later). Echo is a young male Kelpie, estimated to be between 8months and 1 year. He was found as a stray and was never collected so therefore was on the hunt for a new home. ... Echo is a very energetic and friendly little fellow who does lack in social manners. He is quite jumpy but is SO intelligent. He loves his treats and food rewards. He gets along well with other dogs, untested with cats and too full on for small kids (over 8 fine!) Echo would benefit from a family who are committed to continued training, exercise and are looking for a new companion to spend their spare time with. We haven’t had Echo long, but have decided to open up expressions of interest. He will undergo his formal behavioural assessment this week and have all his vet work completed. To express interest, please email a detailed application to [email protected] His adoption fee is $550.00 and that includes desexing, vaccination, microchip and parasite prevention.

19.01.2022 Unfortunately, the news for Hammer is not what we had hoped for. We thought that there was more to this case than just a wasp sting and we were right Unfortunately, Hammer is suffering with progressed Lymphoma Cancer. As he is suffering and likely in the final stages, the vets feel that it is in Hammers best interests to send him to Rainbow Bridge. So unfortunately, we have made the gut wrenching decision to give him his wings. ... We have been lucky enough to raise over $2000 dollars for Hammers treatment. Our vet bill is still around $1000 Mark. We understand that some people may request a refund of their donation which is 100% understandable, so if you wish for your donation to be returned as we have more than enough to cover the cost for Hammer, please email us with your banking details. For those who would still like us to keep their donation, we will be putting the money towards Ted’s and Darcy’s vet bills. Darcy reputured a cruciate 1 day into his trial period, so we have paid for him to have his surgery to repair the cruciate and Ted is still undergoing diagnostics for his legs and hips. We are sorry we couldn’t save you Hammer, we tried our best and gave you everything we could. Run pain free you beautiful soul

19.01.2022 Ruby is all ready for her forever home! Ruby is a 7 year old female Rottweiler who is eagerly awaiting her newest adventure to start. Just like Bentley, Ruby is absolutely full of life and shows no chances of slowing down anytime soon - so don’t take that number of age too seriously! This girl has so much love to give. The world shines bright when she is around and she brings so much life to anyone who meets her. Her bubbly personality radiates and she is always eager for... a belly or ear scratch Ruby is good with other dogs and has lived with cats. She is not suitable to a home with small children as they excite her and she can chase and knock them over. Although not aggressive, this behaviour is not one we want her to practise and allow to escalate. Ruby is house trained and has great food drive making training a breeze! Ruby’s adoption fee is $550 and that includes desexing, vaccination, microchip and parasite prevention. To apply to adopt Ruby, please send a detailed email to [email protected]

19.01.2022 Appreciation post for Queen of the social yards at Take the Lead is Miss Polly She plays an incredibly important role here. Her dog to dog communication is like no other. If she approaches a dog immediately, she tells us their social. Her level of friendliness tells us just how social they are. If she goes into avoidance of the dog, we know there is some dog to dog reactivity/aggression we need to be mindful of.... She sits on top of the tyres in the social yard and observes her friends playing throughout the day. If the play gets too intense, she steps in and separates them. She’s truly amazing to watch. She helps all our training dogs, all our daycare dogs, all our new rescue dogs and any other dog that comes to the property

18.01.2022 One of our behavioural cases, Douggs #adopted

17.01.2022 Nugget Nugget came in to Guardian Angel HQ after his guardians found themselves in a very difficult situation. Nugget is a 2 year old fun-loving working line Australian Kelpie who has been a much loved family pet since a puppy. He was born and bred on a farm but left mum at 5 week of age.... Nugget has since undertaken puppy school and some basic training with his family. He is absolutely ball obsessed and loves playing fetch. Nugget has proven to be good with all dogs OUTSIDE the home but is best off not living with other dog. He is best off in a home with children over 13 years of age and he has not lived with cats before. Nugget is looking for a fun, active family who he can enjoy long hikes with, push bike rides, camping trips, beach runs - anything that the typical kelpie would love! Adoption fee is $650 and that includes desexing, C5 vaccination, health check, microchipped (including transfer of ownership), parasite prevention and lifetime training support through Take the Lead Canine Services. All adopters are offered a complimentary training session on the same day as adoption. To apply to adopt, please complete the appropriate ADOPTION APPLICATION available at www.guardianangelrescue.com.au

16.01.2022 Goblin, the 4 year old small Greyhound crossbreed is all ready to find his forever home Goblin is a friendly, quiet little guy who loves other dogs, people and kids! We haven’t tested him with cats or livestock yet but we see no areas of concerns in adjusting with appropriate training. Goblin enjoys spending time in the social yard with the other dogs but also loves to be close to the dog handlers getting a scratch behind the ear! ... Goblin is happy to go for a walk/adventure but is also happy to just relax on his dog bed. He’s quiet and doesn’t seem to bark at all. A real pleasure to have! Adoption fee: $550.00 includes desexing, vaccination, microchip, and parasite prevention To apply for adoption, please send an application via email to [email protected]

16.01.2022 So, we finally have our plans moving forward! This has taken a few months - a lot of work behind the scenes and a lot of planning, changing, communicating, creating and lovin’ Over the last 6-8 months, we have been sporadic with our Facebook posts. We have had so much going on with our training business, Take the Lead that we have unfortunately fallen down on most social media aspects of Guardian Angel. ... We have been reviewing missions, core values and goals... setting targets, creating plans and achieving dreams We have been lucky enough to still be receiving generic applications and have thank-fully been rehoming a lot of our dogs without social media assistance but for a few of our older, longer term dogs, we have been developing new and innovative ways to advertise these gorgeous personalities. We have been training hard, Implementing training plans, formalising behavioural assessments, setting up social pack rehabilitation, oursourcing grooms, reviewing vet care and much more. We have some exciting things going on personally (no, I’m not having a baby ) which will possibly () see expansion to help more, save more and rehome more. So, now Aimee has more Take the Lead staff, she is now more available to promote, create and post on our social pages. We have set guidelines, content creations and much more for the coming months. Yes, I understand we have also fallen down on our email accounts - especially surrender requests due to being at capacity and having a waiting list so we have created better processes for all of this too! Lots going on, but if you know me... We wouldn’t have it any other way! Ready to roll? Let’s go! PS photo was not taken for this post, we sent it to a client who we were so happy with their progress with their dog but it seemed fitting for the post!

16.01.2022 Just Jack over here dirtier than ever Unfortunately, Jack’s trial was unsuccessful so if you can handle a mud loving, water splashing, active Border Collie, we would LOVE to hear from YOU! ... My name is Jack and I LOVE mud! I am available for adoption and looking for my forever family. I am an 8 month old Border Collie (possibly cross because I’m so tall!) and I weigh 31.5kgs. I get along well with other dogs but sometimes like to try and round them up - I mean I am from herding origin! I am better suited with larger dogs but seem to get along with dogs of all sizes. I can occasionally get excited and become a little mouthy - nothing serious but something my new family would need to be aware of, therefore I am best suited to a home with older children - 10 years plus. I am untested with feline companions so best suited without. I love to run, run and run.... I was placed on anti anxiety medication and sedative medication in my last home, but since I came to the farm aka Guardian Angel Rescue and my instinctual needs have been met, I have been weaned off all of the medication. I would benefit from a home that can provide me with structure - especially a crate as I love my safe place. It also means I won’t get too excited when new guests come over. I am looking for an active home - a running buddy, or a family who love hiking and forest walks... exploring and sniffing are my two favourite hobbies! Do you think you can provide me with a forever home? My adoption fee is $550.00 and that includes desexing, vaccination, microchip and parasite prevention. To apply, please send a detailed email explaining the home you can provide me to [email protected]

16.01.2022 Welcome MOCHA One of our rescue friends called and asked for help when she had to get multiple dogs and puppies out of a home as a matter of urgency! Aimee is currently away, and as a general rule we don’t generally take in any new dogs whilst she’s away but this was desperate! ... We welcomed two Staffy crossbreeds last Sunday morning and it has taken over 4 days to get to this point. They are extremely under socialised which makes them nervous as hell, they have never been on a leash, explored the world or left the yard much. Zoe and Doug have been working extremely hard at all hours of the night to help bring these two out of their shell. Mocha arrived with her brother BATMAN Batman is in a much worse state than Mocha. Batman shows extreme fear based behaviours and is only just letting Take the Lead staff handle him now. Videos will come over the week. Mocha is also PREGNANT and will be expecting pups in approximately 1/2 weeks time. We will take the puppies through the PUPPY CULTURE puppy raising protocol to help create confident pups!

16.01.2022 We wrote a big long post on 2020 and it decided to delete, so enjoy a video of the rescues at the beach today!

15.01.2022 Asha is on the way to her new adventure with her new family! A little unsure but I feel this family are perfect for her... We have extended the trial period to 4-weeks to ensure that she is the right fit and will extend longer if need be. We will be there for them to help make sure she will be the best dog that she can be. All the best Ashy girl, show them how good you can be

14.01.2022 Throw. Me. The. Ball. I’m Sirius.... Sirius, still looking for that ‘pawfect’ home!

12.01.2022 Mocha enjoying the SU N S H I N E between the R A I N showers this morning I would say pups will be here in less than a week!

11.01.2022 Bella and Piper are at the vets today having their full blood panel done to check for any abnormalities that come with older age, along with their routine vaccines. Once these results have returned, we will contact all interested parties

10.01.2022 Bentley loving his paddock run

10.01.2022 Welcome BELLA This senior gal is Bella. She is a 10 year old Boxer who still has a real spring to her step. Bella has always been well cared for and has always had her needs met but it is now time to find herself a forever home for her golden years. ... Bella has been an outside dog so it would be important that the new family understands that their may be some issues around toileting. Bella is a fun, active girl who doesn't let her age slow her. She loves being out in our social yard and has shown no concerning behaviours towards dogs or children. Bella has not been around cats. Bella is ready for pre-adoption applications and once she has had her vet work which includes blood panels, we will contact suitable applicants. To apply to adopt Bella, please do so by sending a detailed application to [email protected] Adoption fee: $300.00 includes desexing, vaccination, microchip, parasite prevention and blood panels.

10.01.2022 Beautiful Bentley Bentley is an 8 year old male Rottweiler who is all ready to start looking for his last stop in his forever home! He is a lovely, active boy who adores all people and kids. He has lived in a home with another female dog and has also lived with cats. ... Bentley is active for his age so don’t let that fool you and has received a clear bill of health from our vet. He is only a smaller boy weighing 27kgs. He loves exploring in the paddocks here and greets every guest with a wagging tail. He would love a fun, outgoing family who will take him on adventures and let him snuggle inside at night. Bentleys adoption fee is $300 and that includes desexing, vaccination, microchip and parasite prevention. Bentley has also had a full blood panel run which came back with no issues or concerns. To apply to adopt Bentley, please email a detailed application to [email protected]

10.01.2022 Love this lottery! Only $2.00 per ticket and GAAR keep 100% of profits, it doesn't get much better than that! Tickets on sale now via link below. https://communitylottery.peopleschoice.com.au//guardian-an

08.01.2022 Dyson’s switched his ears on ready for his training session! This guys so close to be ready for adoption! Stay tuned for his profile It will be so hard to see this one go off on a new adventure. He has a piece of all our hearts. Sweet as pie

07.01.2022 Buddy is happy to report that he has a meet with a long term follower on Sunday! All going well, he will be making the hike to Mount Gambier to be with his forever family. Many people question why a dog has been here so long... Well, you see... We do not just place our dogs in a home for the sake of finding them a home. Buddy holds some behaviours from his history as a guard dog, and living by himself for 7 months so we had to make sure that his new guardians were on board ...with training and management. Being a senior boy, this already puts him in the harder to adopt basket. Buddy loved spending time here at the farm... He built relationships with all our staff, especially me... Aimee and loved all the other dogs here. A follow up check at the vets today saw him with a clear bill of health even at the age of 8! Now, he is ready to go off on his newest adventure with a Rottweiler experienced family. We can’t wait to see how it goes but we have the gut feeling that ‘this is the ONE!’

07.01.2022 From my heart to yours You may have noticed that since we posted beautiful Asha on social media a few weeks ago (I deleted the post), we have been relatively quiet on social media and have not made many posts, only the necessary ones. I am one who likes to be raw, honest and show you our day to day work here at Guardian Angel - the sad, the messy, the beautiful and of course, the dogs! ... For those of you who don’t know, Asha is a dog who had 7 attempted bites, was dog aggressive and was scheduled for euthanasia as we were her guardians last resort. Well I posted a photo of her in a muzzle and explained the situation and the history. I umm’d and ahhh’d about posting something like this on Facebook as people generally only like to see the transformations and don’t understand the level of work we do here, as QUALIFIED TRAINERS. Well, as expected (I crossed my fingers that it wouldn’t), the post absolutely blew up - 50% praising us and 50% basically saying we were stupid for even trying to help her. This got shared to a PINK NEEDLE American group and of course, over came all the Americans slamming us for helping Asha. We have even had certain SA based behavioural vets spreading false statements about our organisation and turning clients away from our Take the Lead training business, making people fearful of reaching out for our help. Legal advise has been sought in relation to this. The worst that would of happened, would of been that we took her ourselves for euthanasia if she was deemed dangerous but at least we knew she had every fighting chance. Are we no-kill? Absolutely, but we will not rehome a dangerous emotionally unstable dog into the community (as per the no-kill definition). I was open and honest with the surrendering party. Well... we will just leave this video here for you all to view... Do we still have work to do? Yes. We do. But we are well on the way to a happy, rehomable dog who is now even medication free! In saying that, and after many, many discussions with our behavioural team, I, Aimee - will not let these people take us down. We will not let people make us feel bad for doing everything we can to give a dog every fighting chance instead of giving up and getting the green dream. We do this for the dogs. Not for ourselves. Not for the social media glory. But for the dog as an individual. To give them a chance at finding their happy forever home and not just putting them into the ‘too hard’ basket. With that, we have some exciting news to share about our Behavioural Department over the coming days - stay tuned!

06.01.2022 Darcy is a 5 year old Pedigree Russet Gold Hungarian Vizsla who is all ready for a new home after some intensive behavioural training. Darcy is a fun loving, happy boy who thrives off of an active and adventurous lifestyle Darcy gets along well with all of our canine companions here on the farm and sets good social boundaries with the overly friendly dogs. He LOVES puppies and lounging around in the sunshine. Darcy was surrendered to our care after his previous family ha...d him scheduled for euthanasia after a bite to a friend. When Darcy arrived, he had a lot of pent up frustration and lack of training which led to this unfortunate situation. Since Darcy has arrived to GAAR HQ, we have assessed him in a variety of situations. He has a lot of energy that needs to be expelled in positive ways through training, exercise, enrichment and fun activities. But a key component to Darcy’s continued success will be implementing rules and boundaries around the home including place training and crate training to assist with keeping the mindset calm when required. Darcy has become a much loved member of our farm here, so we will only move forward with meets we feel will be able to provide to him 110% Darcy can go to a home with other dogs but no children or small cats or pocket pets. Adoption fee: $550.00 includes desexing, vaccination, microchip and parasite prevention. Included is a behavioural handover and ongoing training support To apply to adopt Darcy, please send a detailed email application to [email protected] Yes, Darcy’s breeder is aware of his rehoming.

05.01.2022 Over the past month, we have been working closely with Maple, an 8 month old Labrador from the RSPCA. When the RSPCA realised that she needed specialised rehabilitation, they were more than okay with GAAR taking her on as a project dog, knowing it would be a long journey. Maple, formally known as Bella was at the RSPCA for 3 weeks. In that time, she was totally shut down and the staff had never seen her tail wag. She was in total avoidance of all staff and was not able to b...e transported between areas as she was not coping well. Funnily enough, we have actually worked with and rehomed 2 other dogs from the ‘breeder’ Maple came from. As soon as Zoe and I went to pick her up, we knew it was the same breeding. Same mannerisms, same structure, same temperament... everything in these dogs was close to identical. Maple is VERY friendly but very reserved around people. She wants to be CLOSE, but not close enough that you can look at her without her running a mile. Maple will jump up at gateways once you close them in somewhat an aggressive manner, but the minute you open the gate, she runs a mile in the other direction (another behaviour both the other dogs did), and she THRIVES off of other dogs confidence.... Since Maple has arrived at GAAR HQ, she has come along in leaps and bounds (literally) but Maple is always going to hold some of these genetic traits. We are working with one of our Take the Lead clients to see if Maple will be a good fit for her and her exisiting dog, but we cannot rush this process. Maple takes time to warm and it’s vital we listen to the dogs. If this falls through, Maple will be listed for adoption but fingers crossed, we have picked a suitable match

05.01.2022 And off he goes, to the Mount tomorrow morning

04.01.2022 Available for Adoption Two Wells SA Asha 3 year old medium crossbreed ... Well, the time has come for Asha to be placed up for adoption and to find her new forever home. Asha is a medium sized dog who has been in our care for quite some time. She is one of our behavioural cases who has come along in leaps and bounds. She is very dog friendly but seems to be a lot more comfortable around male dogs. She loves calm, predictable dogs but can engage in a good game of play when comfortable. She would need to be with dogs who have respect for other dogs personal space and not not obnoxious and rude with their greetings. Asha has undergone extensive training with our Take the Lead Canine Services team. She has been exposed to many situations, has good basic obedience, has an understanding of place and leash walking and is fully crate trained. She is very clever and loves to learn, so her new guardian would be one who loves to engage in training but also in play. Asha has a whole lot of love to give. She needs routine and structure to thrive into the confident happy dog she has become. We have had no concerns with her since the first week of her surrender. She is a little nervous in public places, so appropriate exposure and confidence building will be imperative to her success. Her new guardians will be open to having a FREE in-home consultation throughout the trial period. We will also conduct a training handover at her adoption commencement. ADOPTION FEE: $550.00 includes desexing, vaccination, microchip and parasite prevention. We will also provide ongoing training support via email, phone and text throughout the lifetime of the dog. To apply to adopt Asha, please email a detailed application to [email protected] Please be aware that a few meets may need to occur to ensure she is the right fit.

04.01.2022 Wow! What a response, thank you to all who purchased tickets, still plenty of time to get your or even some more, a bargain at $2.00 with amazing prizes :-) https://communitylottery.peopleschoice.com.au//guardian-an

03.01.2022 The hardest dog in the history of the world to get a photo of As the saying goes, a house is not a home without a dog... and that’s were beautiful Brandy fits in! Brandy hasn’t had much of a life so far. He was couped up in a breeding kennel for the last four years used as a stud dog. He rarely got out of his run and therefore when he first came to the farm, he didn’t know what to do with himself.... Brandy is a 4 year old purebred male English Staffordshire Terrier who is looking for a patient, tolerant home. Brandy is good with other dogs but has not been tested around cats or pocket pets. Due to Brandy’s lack of exposure to children throughout his time as a stud dog, we would recommend he doesn’t go to a home with small kids - 6 and over will be fine. He has been exposed to my two here with no concerning behaviours. Brandy has little to no basic obedience. He requires a dedicated guardian who understands the breed and will put the time and work into him. He is smart but needs consistency through his life. Since being here, Brandy has settled immensely and has proved to be a loving companion to the right family. Adoption fee: $550.00 includes desexing, vaccination, microchip and parasite prevention. To apply to adopt Brandy, please send a detailed application to [email protected] Breeder is fully aware of rehoming.

03.01.2022 Little Millie is a 12 week old working dog crossbreed who is on the hunt for a new family! Millie was surrendered as a Koolie X Border Collie and we can definitely see some strong working dog traits being displayed in her behaviour and this was the main reason for surrender. Her ideal home would be a home that can provide her with a lot of routine, structure and leadership to prevent any unwanted behaviours from occurring. She would make a great running buddy, adventure bu...ddy, trick dog or agility dog. She is well socialised with other dogs but does need a stronger personality dog who can help clearly communicate clear dog communication and she has been around cats but is prone to ‘herding’ them up. Millie is an incredibly smart dog who needs to utilise her brain everyday through mentally stimulating games and activities - this is more than just food dispensing toys! I’m talking free shaping, training type activities. Millie is crate trained and would benefit from this being continued in her new home. Adoption fee: $550.00 includes desexing, vaccination, microchip and parasite prevention. To apply to adopt Millie, please send a detailed email to [email protected] Please note, we will not be conducting any meets over the long weekend due to our dog boarding being booked out and we will have all hands on deck over this period.

02.01.2022 After further testing and diagnostics with our gorgeous Lillie Pillie we have decided to reduce her adoption fee to help her find her forever home. Now, please note. Lillie has an array of health issues which may lead to a shorter life span. Lillie suffers arthritis in her back legs from a ruptured and repaired cruciate, elbow displaysia in both front elbows and a dodgey front wrist which can lead to lameness if over exercised or if she is not kept lean. Lillie has a swee...t nature but is a strong dog. She will require a breed experienced guardian who can implement continued training, a strict exercise regime and someone who isn’t too heavy on the treats therefore keeping her fit and healthy. Lillie gets along well with other dogs but would benefit from a home as an only dog as this is all she’s ever known. She has never grown up with pocket pets or cats so therefore is unsuitable. Lillie is not suited to a home with kids under 13 years of age. She will need a home with respectful teenage children. She becomes nervous around small, fast moving, unpredictable children, hence the reason for her surrender originally. Lillie is crate trained, place trained, has good basic obedience but needs continued training on her loose leash walking. Adoption fee: $100.00. Lillie is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea, worm and heart worm treated. She has also completed a 4-week course of cartrophen injections and will come with a container of Rosehip vital and a 4x hydrotherapy pass time Noah’s Crossing Vet. To apply to adopt Lillie, please send a detailed email to [email protected]

02.01.2022 Welcome HAMMER! Hammer is currently at the emergency vets after he was surrendered this afternoon. We received an urgent message today that hammer was deteriorating quickly. On Christmas Eve Hammer was bitten by a wasp multiple times. He hasn’t been the same since, his symptoms include: ... * Extremely swollen legs * Redness to his eyes * Extreme weakness and lethality * Rapid weight loss * Minimal to no drinking Hammer was so weak bull ants started crawling all over him and biting his legs and feet. Unfortunately him owners were not in the position to meet Hammers medical needs and made the selfless decision to surrender Hammer knowing he would get the care required. Any negative comments will be deleted Upon arrival Hammer was too weak to get our the car and required assistance. Aimee and Zoe jumped straight in the car to take him down to the emergency vet clinic. Where he will undergo further diagnostic, when we arrived he was urinating straight blood which is not a good sign. So far the estimated cost are between $700-$1000 which is just the starting price to determine what medical conditions Hammer is suffering. We are reaching out to you the general public to assist us with covering Hammers veterinary bills. Please consider a donation, any amount is greatly appreciated! Our bank details are: Guardian Angel Animal Rescue BSB: 065 502 ACC: 10427906 REF: Hammer We will provide everybody with an update as soon as we know more! He is currently staying at the vets on fluid therapy and waiting blood results

02.01.2022 Welcome Douggs (pronounced Doogs) What a sweet, handsome chap this lad is! Douggs is a 5 year old Dogue De Bordeaux who has arrived in our care on Friday and will be looking for a new loving family after we have performed some further training. He is a big, happy, bouncy boy! Keep an eye out for his adoption profile over the next month or so! ... Douggs does have some behavioural concerns which has led to a few nips towards people, so we will be assessing triggers, implementing training and creating the best plan of action whilst trying to find this fella the perfect home!

01.01.2022 Little Jasper was surrendered at just 5 months old after his family were no longer able to care for his needs. As he is a purebred Springer Spaniel, his guardians were senior citizens and soon realised they bit off more than they could chew. He lacked critical exposure and socialisation throughout his critical period so upon arrival, he was very shy and nervous. We worked closely with him over a few weeks to help him build confidence in us, other dogs, the environment and m...ost importantly, confidence in himself. Springer spaniels are working dogs and often do not make good pet dogs... These guys need a job to do! We have worked with a few of these in our training business and they certainly need a very specific home. Thankfully, a client told her friend about him and she was on the hunt for a new working dog. She drove 5 hours to come and meet him, test him and thankfully take him home! Jasper will now go on to learn to be a detection dog! He will undergo intense training and he will be very well cared for, and thankfully we will be able to receive regular updates! Best of luck little Jasper! Yes, owner contacted breeder prior to rehoming.

01.01.2022 Bodhi, a 2-year old male tri coloured Bull Terrier is awaiting patiently for his forever home to come about! Unfortunately, Bodhi’s guardians had a change in circumstances which meant moving interstate, with family members who have a very busy household and this is not something that Bodhi copes well with. Bodhi is a friendly, lovable goofball who is looking for a single person, or couple to welcome him into their home. Bodhi has had extensive training with our trainers her...e and is now ready to find a family of his own. Bodhi is friendly with other dogs and children but is very full on and becomes easily aroused, so ideally would benefit from a quieter home as an only dog. He is good with teenagers 12 years plus. Bodhi is fully crate trained and this is a MUST in his new home to maintain the work we have been doing with him. What is Bohdis ideal home? An active, adventurous home who love the outdoors. They would have breed experience and a quiet home with rules and management in place. * Bodhi was purchased off of a Facebook group as a puppy, and is NOT from a registered breeder. Adoption fee: $600 including desexing, vaccination, microchip, parasite prevention, a 2 hour behavioural handover and on-going assistance with training (email and virtual). To apply to adopt Bohdi, please do so by sending a detailed email application to [email protected]
