25.01.2022 Its been wild weather today and you can definitely feel that winter is on its way but yesterday at Porcupine Rocks the vistas were glorious. We cant wait until we can share the beautiful mountains with you (and point you in the right direction if you like to hike!).

25.01.2022 Done! 24 beds and bases (to make 6 King Split beds) were delivered and assembled today! Peter, along with our friend Adrian, carried everything into the lodge and up the stairs! Rooms 1, 2, 5, 12, 13 and 14 all have the new beds in there! There was a bit of bed shuffling but generally it was out with the old and in with the new. The new beds are perfect for the lodge as it means we can use them as a king or 2 singles!... Get ready for a perfect nights sleep next time you visit..zzzz See more

19.01.2022 Around the village today! With a bluebird day and snow it was the best pick of the ski season so far! Guest services have advised to keep checking the website as they may release limited lift tickets...we have rooms available this week if anyones able to be spontaneous

09.01.2022 RIP JUERGEN HEISE - a tribute written by Karen Kazza Web. The Hahnenkamm family extend our deepest condolences to Juergens family On behalf of the Heise family I sadly inform you that past Hahnenkamm member Juergen (Ben) Heise passed away yesterday 2/4/2020 aged 88yrs. Juergen was better known to some as 'Ben'. ... Juergen was a member of Hahnenkamm from 1992, until selling his share in 2015. Juergen spent all his skiing days with his best mate Klaus at Hahnenkamm. He also spent some summer time at the lodge with his wife Season. Some will know Season more through her paintings that hung in the lodge for many years. In later years Juergen invited myself- Kaz Webb, Joan and a small group of his Melbourne friends to join him and Klaus to introduce us to his love of the Thredbo life. Unfortunately, a few years ago, Juergen stopped coming to Thredbo due to his ailing health, but to this day, Klaus, Joan & myself still continue that love of Thredbo life that Juergen kindly introduced us to. Juergen, we will forever cherish all the fun we had with you. Not only on the slopes, but the bar by bar crawl nights, dancing at the Schuss, even the Keller bar (gwad forbid), and of course the many laughs and friendships made just hanging at the lodge. We will all continue with your motto "It must only be fun times at Hahnenkamm & Thredbo". We know you will beside us always. We bid you farewell dear friend. RIP. Juergen is survived by his adoring wife Season and his 3 precious fur babies. (Their fur babies were their children)

05.01.2022 Spring has arrived and the snow conditions may change very quickly. If skiing is not on the agenda, try the Thredbo River walk to Dead Horse Gap. Absolutely sensational, walking shoes and stick are highly recommended :)

05.01.2022 We are thrilled to announce that we have new lodge managers, Peter and Melanie Disch. They come to us with experience in managing lodges, having managed another Thredbo lodge for five and a half years, several years ago. Peter and Melanie will start to move into the lodge over the next few days, but will be away on a pre-booked holiday from the 27 December to the 3rd January. If you need to contact the lodge to make a booking in that time, please send an email to: [email protected] and one of the directors will tend to your request. Peter hails from Switzerland, and is a qualified chef, so we will be well looked after at dinner time! Melanie is a snowy mountains local who has worked in both hospitality and childcare. Peter and Melanie have three children, Kiera (12), Lukas (9), and Noah (6). The family are avid skiers, and are looking forwards to having a ski with lodge members when time permits! Please extend your warmest welcome to Peter, Melanie and family. We are thrilled to have you join the Hahnenkamm family, and look forwards to meeting you!

04.01.2022 We have a gorgeous new BBQ and umbrella for Hahnnkamm’s outdoor area plus Peter has given the wooden table a makeover and planted a potted herb garden for members and guests to use. It’s looking so good and we can’t wait for everyone to enjoy it!

There are plenty of FREE things to do in Thredbo too! We can tell you about beautiful hikes, single track bike trails and the secret swimming hole (shhh!)
