25.01.2022 Its been awhile. Little Miss Annie isnt little anymore. Annie is just over 6 months old. She is a very smart and we are really happy with her ( except when she jumps in my bird of paradise plant...... shes a little b&$ch then!)

25.01.2022 Hallsheeler HarLiz Annie is growing into a very nice young lady, at nearly 4-mths old here she is relaxing in the back yard today. Eyes closed then ... ohh well he called me, guess I better sneak a look that way.

25.01.2022 Im on a rant again... I had a message form an American lady named Sue with regards to a Mini Healer sic. As Ive stated in the past this really rankles me and in any case she went on to say after being told there was no such breed that, Kim Lord, I realize we in America have changed the size standard but I still love the tiny healers. Please dont be offended. Thanks for the feedback. Kim of course was polite and short to the point in her reply to her but I couldnt hel...p myself, as I was offended by her reply in stating that WE in America had changed the size standard! WTF. This is an Australian dog to start with and in any case it is a major thing to do to change a breed standard. So NO the Americans have not done that. Wheres all this crap coming from.... the friggin puppy farmers are mis-educating people again. So I couldnt help but reply....Sue, ohh and NO, you in America HAVE NOT changed the breed standard. The ACD standard remains the same. Check the AKC.org website. You will find no such breed as a mini healer sic. The so-called mini you speak of is bred by unscrupulous puppy farmers looking to cash in on their runt pups, which may also carry other hidden genetic defects. I then went on a little rant again, no offence intended to Sue, Hi, unfortunately we do not promote the puppy farmers who are ruining our breed by making them smaller and unsuitable for working cattle Sue. In fact it makes my blood boil just thinking about these lowlife. If you want a smaller dog may I suggest a terrier - very loyal and protective. There are many great breeds of terriers. If you really want an Australian Cattle Dog (Blue or Red HEELER) then get a real one. You wont be disappointed. Ask the puppy farmers if they test for the blindness genes and other hereditary things that can affect the ACD. I bet they dont. Be warned and be careful. As you can read it is a pet hate of mine when they are ruining our beautiful breed and spreading mis-information about them all over the net. Sorry to rant but you really are in wrong place to ask that question. What are your thoughts? Was I too harsh?

25.01.2022 In tonight's Hall's Heelers : The Original, Blue, Australian Cattle Dogs Puppy/Doggy Update we meet with the dogs and say hi and I show you where I'm at with the new Whelping Kennels. I also explain why we prefer the poly tank material kennels for individual kennels. This was originally an FB Live video but due to Telstra Issues today I deleted the original Live video and replaced it with this one. Enjoy. ;)

25.01.2022 I had a request from Karlene Kelly to show old Red on here so heres a video update of the old boy who turned 8 recently. Not old really. hes now officially 1 year older than ne in dog years.

24.01.2022 So whilst I was busy doing this Red came and lent a helping paw... until it got too much for him. Its a dogs life alright.

24.01.2022 It is with great sadness and heavy hearts Kim and I wish to let all of our Hall's Heeler family and friends know of the passing of our foundation dog and Big Boy "Red" on Thursday the 3rd September 2020 at 1:20pm. As most of you will know, "Red was baited not once but twice last year (2019); early in the year and then about 6-months later by an unknown person/s. Although we had hoped, and it had seemed like, he'd made a full recovery he had suffered unseen damage to his lungs...Continue reading

23.01.2022 BLUE on the road to recovery. See the video next for more information.

23.01.2022 Meet 11-month old HallsHeeler BrunDi Biggles a beautiful girl from Bruno & DiDi’s November 2019 litter, who lives in Euroa, VIC. Biggles is still growing into those ears and has a beautiful personality. She is loved and runs with her mum and flys with her dad and staffy brother and sister. Another great family member. Thank you so much for being a part of our Hall’s Heelers ; The Original, Blue, Australian Cattle Dogs family.

23.01.2022 Hallsheeler Harliz Annie with her EARS UP!!! Yahoooo! 12-weeks old on the day both ears finally popped up full time, together last Wednesday. Today, Saturday here are some shots for you.

23.01.2022 Heres a question we receive regularly with the answer following... Q - I have two blues and a red and wanted to know if there is a way to tell if they are Hall Heelers, Queensland or other? Are the breeds the same? I see no difference between the names. A - HH ... The Australian Cattle Dog was initially developed and bred by Mr. Thomas Simpson Hall in 1830-1840 and then were only available on their Hall family properties until his death in 1870. He classed them as an advan...tage over his competition and so kept them within his own business. After his death these Halls Heelers as they were initially called were then spread around Australia, mainly in Queensland and NSW. They were then also known as Queensland Heelers, Smithfield Heelers or Smithfields (which is actually a different breed of dog not related) and Blue or Red Heelers. In 1904 (I think) a breed standard was developed and then refined and in 1965 the Australian Cattle Dog was first registered as an accepted breed of working dog coming in both Blue and Red colours. There is quite a lot of misinformation out there about the breed and in particular on some important sites that should know better to only use evidence based information. The two most thoroughly researched information articles/books on the ACDs history is from Mr. Albert Bert Howard (a member of the Hall Family) and the book, A Dog Called Blue by Noreen Clark (based on scientific facts). The most unfortunate thing is that shortly after Mr. Thomas Simpson Halls death in 1870 his family cleaned out his personal items, which included destroying of all of his records INCLUDING his meticulous dog breeding records! Bugger! See more

22.01.2022 Halls Heelers : The Original, Blue (& Red), Australian Cattle Dogs puppy/doggy update 28/7/2020. A quick scoot around to see whats going on just before tucker time!

21.01.2022 Hallsheeler BrunDi Slate is growing into a very nice big strong boy. Not yet 12-mths old and still growing into his ears, here are the latest pics from Mitch his Carer in Melbourne.

21.01.2022 If youve made a puppy enquiry this past couple of weeks and still not received a reply to your email, I apologise. I am on a deadline with my work and have not had time to do so as yet. I shall start getting back to everyone this week. FYI ... we personally have no puppies at the moment BUT have a litter of Blue Halls Heeler pups planned for Oct/Nov/Dec 2020. Also... Our stud dog Bruno has two possible matings booked in, one mating within the next month to Tessa, which wil...l produce Red and Blue pups ready for homes 17 weeks after the mating. The previous mating to Tessa produced some very very nice pups so if youre interested you will need to get in touch by email to get a copy of our terms and conditions before you can purchase a pup. As well... we have a blue bitch lined up tentatively that we hope will proceed with a mating which will produce all blue pups. Nothing confirmed with this one yet though. In any case, if you are interested you must send me an EMAIL to [email protected] . You may call me but we will not sell to you until you have read and agreed to our t&cs. Enjoy your day. 20.01.2022 PUPPY UPDATE - Day 7 - Feb 13th 2021 Well I’m sorry to disappoint but I stuffed up the video for this update. Unusable! Bugger!! Long and short of it is everyone is fat and fine and Lizzie is doing a really good job. I’ll get another video up tomorrow. After a day in the sun dog proofing the new fence and moving stuff, I’m stuffed.

19.01.2022 Who is Bruno’s person? Brian or Katie? Either way he sure loves a belly rub.

19.01.2022 Slowly but surely; good things come to those who wait. So my mum says. :) Another day of progress for the past 3 weeks; 1 with a seminar and two with bad weather; thats my excuse anyway. Two doors mounted and poles beside them positioned. Now frames to be cut and welded in, then wire fronts welded on. Once all fronts are complete internal walls to be started and then services; lights, power and water. A few weeks to go as the shed must be cleaned out and demolished soon too. Its all go here!

19.01.2022 Heres Hallsheeler HarLiz Annie with her Mum, Kimmy, at 9-weeks old on a trip out into the big wide world. First trip around town. Annie was the female pup we kept from the last litter of Lizzie and Harold. A cheeky little girl.

17.01.2022 Some more photo updates in the Visitors Posts received today from Kimberly Anne regarding Baxter from Bruno & DiDi's last litter. Check them out. Thank you Kimberly. Don't forget to go and check out the VISITORS POSTS section for more photos.

16.01.2022 Here is our foxy lady, Maggie May. Maggie is 7 months old and having her first season. She had been in ISO and just stopped bleeding. Quality time with us as she cant be with her pack. Oh, she does love her dad. ... Thought we would throw a red one amongst the blues! See more

15.01.2022 A long day culminated to the climax we hoped for yesterday, with all pups and Lizzie coming home safe’n’sound. LOOK .... what’s under the blanket? 3M & 2F

15.01.2022 NEW PUPPIES, that are already sold, from our friends at Pavesi Australian Cattle Dogs... see more at Pavesi Australian Cattle Dogs

15.01.2022 if you tried to call me today and I didnt answer I apologise... I left my phone inside and was working on the kennels outside; so when I tried to answer on my 007 James Bond phone the Bluetooth wasnt strong enough. Anyway, Ill call you back tonight. Also anyone waiting on an email reply I am attempting to catch up now at around 10 emails a day over the next month. NEWS: next weekend we are looking forward to meeting Steve McIver and family whove joined the Halls Heeler ...family recently and hopefully soon David and his family who have indicated they wish to use our Bruno as a stud for their next litter of pups. We also wish to welcome Rob and Alison from Moama, NSW and Francesca and her Hubby from the Clevers Keep ACD kennel in Italy to the Halls Heeler family. Hey everyone! Welcome, Welcome, welcome! We look forward to many conversations over the coming years. Stay tuned and Ill keep everyone updated as to when there are more pups on the way with Halls Heeler blood. Now for todays photo... HallsHeeler HarLiz Annie ... a Geelong Cats AFL supporter I may add (for Freds benefit) .... at 4.5 months old. A very nice photo taken by Bridget Power. thanks Bridget.

15.01.2022 Our little boy Pavesi Jakina Lord or BLUE as we call him has had an operation two days ago to repair his cruciate ligament which he snapped somehow doing something silly; hes a very active boy. At 12-mths old this is an unusual injury. Some do this chasing balls or rabbits or other things but unfortunately we do not know how this happened. One morning he came out of his kennel carrying his rear leg. So what happened overnight has puzzled us since. Good news is that these types of injuries are not genetic. He has a few puppies to produce to pay for this operation!

14.01.2022 Who is Brunos person? Brian or Katie? Either way he sure loves a belly rub.

14.01.2022 Slowly and surely our whelping Kennels are getting there. Check out todays works. All external cladding now on. Ready to start on the internal walls. Doors are made as well.

14.01.2022 Exercise in isolation for Hall’s Heelers : The Original, Blue, Australian Cattle Dogs. Chasing the ducks and ducklings in and around Lord’s Run Lake. ... No ducks were hurt in the filming of this video. ;)

13.01.2022 Pavesi Red Lord - Halls Heelers : The Original, Blue, Australian Cattle Dogs foundation dog. Red is a B Clear stud dog from the Pavesi ACD kennel when they were in Western Sydney. Hes the only male pup from Stud and Sky matings and at 8-years old is the most intuitive ACD weve ever had. Although hesnot fathered a litter in the past two years things will change soon enough. And being baited, not once but twice in the past 18-months by some low-life hes now back to normal but it did take it out of him. A 7-week plus recovery each time. Anyway Red is a very special boy for us. Yes ... his left ear was damaged some 3 or 4 years ago when he tried to get through the tin wall into the bitches in season.

13.01.2022 Well another day / weekend and another baby step forward in the whelping kennels build. I finished welding the frame Id tacked up last week. Blew another couple of holes in the RHS. Bugger! Then the first front wire was mostly welded on today as my stick welding skills get better with use. About 80% done. The next two fronts should be much quicker now as I develop my system of building. Id planned to do the internal walls first but realised last week I needed to do the front frames and fit the doirs first. Getting there slowly and surely. A lot more work in the fronts than I thought.

11.01.2022 Heres Halls Heeler Harliz Boye up on Timbertop Mountain over near Mansfield, VIC. Hes 15.5 weeks old and from HH Brundi Elizabeth (Lizzie) and SA Special Reason (Harold). A good looking Australian Cattle Dog or Blue Heeler pup.

11.01.2022 Yesterday a special friend of Hall's Heelers, Amanda [Mandy N Keely] and dog trainer lost her very special ACD "Keely" RIP ... I couldn't work out how to share her post so I've copied her words here... Today Keely told me it was time. Rest In Peace my goodest girl. Im sitting here bawling my eyes out and remembering our life together. The days when I just did not know what to do to help you and the vets were scared of you to this final day when the vet had tears in her eyes ...and said you were one of her favourites. The lifelong friends we made along the way and the path we took formed the strongest bond between us. My life today is built around you and Im so glad you were in my life. I cannot believe our adventures are over. Vale my sweetheart I will meet you on the other side one day. xoxoxo .... Here at Hall's Heelers we are so very sad for you Mandy and wish you all the best albeit there will be none to take her place just like "Keely". Note: Keely was an abused rescue dog Amanda [Mandy] rescued many years ago. After much time she brought her around to a model in so many ways with her special training methods. See her page at Mandy N Keely and get in touch with her if you are in Melbourne and need help.

10.01.2022 UPDATED 12th April 2020: Here's a public service post - FEEDING GUIDE for Australian Cattle Dogs; How To Feed And Care For Your New Pup-Dog Guide by Hall's Heelers - The Original, Blue, Australian Cattle Dogs. We give this to all of our new puppy owners. I hope it helps you look after your new ACD puppy or puppy of any breed. Thanks to input from Jessica and some others. There are now 9 pages in total. ENJOY!

10.01.2022 Slowly but surely getting the fronts on and adjusting the plan for the slope of the concrete I forgot to allow for. Bugger. No biggie just a pain when you realise. My welding skills will get better as I go after blowing a few holes in the lighter guage RHS; forgot to adjust the welder down. Whoops! Doors were made by my son, Mason. Thanks Mase. Woulda taken me a day to make two of them, let alone three.

10.01.2022 Pavesi Red Lord our foundation dog. Getting on a bit now but an awesome dog with a fantastic personality. Looking forward to becoming the inside dog.

10.01.2022 To think our little Australian Cattle Dog puppy Hallsheeler HarLiz Annie could go from the baby Kims holding to this in 4-mths.... Amazing isnt it.

09.01.2022 Halls Heelers Update: Lock up stage This was the last time "Red" (middle kennel) would appear in a video.

08.01.2022 HallsHeeler RedCasey Ash, (Ash) is a successful rehoming of another one our Hall’s Heelers ; The Original, Blue, Australian Cattle Dogs family. Originally placed with a family who ended up not having enough time for him Ash was returned to us at 12-months old. Full of attitude he was brought into line and given training for the next two or three weeks until the right home was found for him... and we couldn’t have found a better home for him than with Peter in Robinvale, VIC. ...Now Ash looks up to Peter with anticipation and love and no matter who pats him (Adults or Children) he quickly has eyes on his best mate whenever he thinks he may be getting out of eye or ear shot. AND Ash has already saved Peter from an attack by an aggressive German Shepherd when out walking around Robinvale; he’s already Peter’s HERO. We couldn’t be happier with his new home and nor could they! But hey, he still loved a cuddle from me (Pa Lord). See more

05.01.2022 Heres our young man Pavesi Jakina Lord at 12.5mths old waiting to get inside after his outside toilet wandering. Hes still on the mend after getting a crucial ligament replacement from some accident, we dont exactly know what he did, late one night 6-weeks ago. He still has a lot of filling out to do in both his head , chest and body but we are very, very happy with his growth and recovery progress. Such a gentle nature to his family, yet already a formidable watch dog.

04.01.2022 Exercise in isolation for Halls Heelers : The Original, Blue, Australian Cattle Dogs. Chasing the ducks and ducklings in and around Lords Run Lake. ... No ducks were hurt in the filming of this video. ;)

03.01.2022 Here’s a beautiful 11-month old Caputh Billy Biggles. CBB is one of our HallsHeeler RedEndy Bon’s (Bruno) pups with Tessa from John’s Caputh ACD kennel. A full brother of our Red Girl, Caputh Maggie May. Very happy to receive these photos from Jenny & Graeme in WA. Thank you. Another part of our Hall’s Heeler’s Australian Cattle Dogs family.

02.01.2022 Dining out tonight, Friday the 31st July 2020 so we chucked a couple of the Hall's Heelers kids into the ute and made just a little trip to get pizza. Lizzie (inside) and Blue and DiDi int he back. Blue is the lighter coloured young dog and DiDi the darker dog in the back. Enjoy our little bit of iso madness.

02.01.2022 Just had to Share......Brian and I say this weekly to each other!

01.01.2022 Heres the little 5 month old Annie. FB Live on the wrong page. Oh well. Enjoy it anyway.
