22.01.2022 This missing dad from Quakers Hill was last seen getting off a ferry in Manly on Tues afternoon. Please keep an eye out for him. His family and police are desperately searching for him. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10158271648886185&id=218519706184

20.01.2022 Please help us win $1000 to go towards our year 6 farewell. We are unable to fundraise this year via cake stalls etc so this would be a fantastic boost! Click on this link and locate our picture/profile and use the vote now button. https://bolsta.co/bolsta-big-up/

19.01.2022 Harbord Public School is participating in a free virtual running and walking event called the Zaidee’s Run for Life which supports the Zaidee’s Rainbow Foundation. Zaidee Turner passed away suddenly in 2004 when she was 7 years old. At the time of Zaidee’s death the Turner family had been registered Organ and Tissue Donors for 5 years. Zaidee donated her Organs and Tissues at the Royal Children’s Hospital, as were her wishes at the time. From this gift, the lives of seven ot...her people were improved or saved. Zaidee’s parents, Kim and Allan, founded Zaidee’s Rainbow Foundation to raise awareness of the need for increased organ and tissue donor registration in Australia. To get your family involved this October, you can register for the Run for Life event as part of the Harbord Public School Team and select a challenge distance to run or walk over the month of October as well as a fundraising target. Once you start your event, you can add your Km’s to your activity page on your fundraising profile. You can then share your progress with your friends, family and supporters so they can watch you achieve your target over the month and contribute to your fundraising. To join as part of our team using the link: https://www.zaidee.org/join/HarbordPublicSchool9

15.01.2022 What are your thoughts/ideas/solutions for improved traffic management around our school? We need to make the streets safer for the children and local residents. I'm collecting feedback from parents/carers to take to the Council. Comment here or email me at [email protected] Thank you to everyone who has emailed me already - some brilliant ideas from people who approach the school from different directions. We can win this, Harbord!

14.01.2022 In the next few days we will be launching the HPS Christmas Raffle. The prizes are AMAZING! Our community has donated the most generous items and vouchers. 11.01.2022 Children will be returning to school in term 4 in their Summer uniforms so now is the time to get your orders in. The uniform shop hours are (school term only) Tuesday 2:30 - 4pm... Thursday 8:30 - 10:30am We encourage you to only visit the shop if your child needs to try items on. Due to restrictions we would prefer you use the class delivery option. All orders are placed online at www.harborduniforms.com.au When you purchase your uniform accessories (socks, hat, hair bands etc) at our Uniform Shop, all profits go back to the school through the P&C and are used to help your children directly. With delivery straight to your child’s classroom, it’s the most convenient option!

06.01.2022 SAWDUST NEEDED We’re in need of some more dry (brown) material for our school compost bins as we’re battling to keep them balanced with the significant amount of fruit & veg off-cuts that go into them. If any parents are wood workers/carpenters or know of someone in the area that is, we’d love to relieve you of your sawdust/wood shavings for our compost bins. The shavings/dust will however need to be from untreated wood. Please comment/PM if you are able to help us. Thank you

03.01.2022 Year 5 mum Honae MacNeill is our very own Harbord legend. Now she is a short listed finalist for the Westfield Local Hero. Honae manages One Meal on the Northern Beaches which is a weekly meal service for those in need. She coordinates many volunteers and manages the logistics of this very much needed community service. Please consider clicking through and placing a vote for Honae, as if she wins this she will be awarded $10,000 for One Meal. This will help them to replace some of the stock and supplies they lost in the recent storage unit fire.
