18.01.2022 Outdoor spa refurbishment... This outdoor spa had a glasss mosaic around the outer surface . It had discoloured due to the product being non UV stable and delaminated in areas. We stripped off the glass , cupground the surface , primed( red) , waterproofed( green) then laid the new vein cut travertine. Because we were matching new travertine to the existing old trav , the whole lot , incl the new product got a home in 400 grit on the wet polisher to get the whole thing lookin...g homogenous like it was always that way. Grouting and cleaning followed , with a final seal of Lithofin impregnating sealer with built in colour enhancer to blend the new and the old travertine . This wasnt a big job , but it had to look right as the client was extremely interested in their investment blending into the background and being maintenence free so the finer things in life can be enjoyed, our passion for creating architectural finishes in stone and tile ensure that no matter how big or small the details are thought of well in advance to achieve a seamless finish that blends into the background.

With the Polished Black Onyx border to set the En-suite off. Arised and polished rebates to the windows and customised recess in the shower . A beautiful room .

Had to get creative on this one with a confined space to work with , the clients were glad to see the knee high 70s pink trough gone from the shower base we even removed and replaced the window to create a larger shower footprint

09.01.2022 600x600mm brick bond , over stud frame walls with cement sheet. The floors on this are a unbounded 50mm screed with mesh reinforcement, sheet membrane under the screed and liquid membrane over. It has to be as detailed in prep as it is in finish to last the test of time

06.01.2022 Congratulations to Tallwood Constructions HIA SW Outdoor project of the year Fantastic to be a part of this great art piece of a home , installing 20mm bluestone dimension stone coping to walls and pool in 300x600 mm and 400x800mm sizes, as well as 20mm crazypave hand cut curves to the main deck area where we could really put our artistic flair on show. This product arrives stacked on pallets in random sizes with raw edges , from 600x800mm up to 800x1200mm , we use few c...omplete pieces and break up the stone, individually cutting pieces to fit and create unique patterns to accentuate our work . 02.01.2022 Next project underway ...600x600 mm rectified porcelain laid brick bond on the floor and walls with 1.5 mm joints and mitres to all external joins . Nice walk in shower , extra high ceilings and plenty of detail to caress . Technical one this one as it has an acrylic additive and mesh reinforced 50mm screed over timber framed floor . The screed is waterproofed underneath with a dual purpose isolating membrane sheet to create an unbonded screed , which is essentially a floating floor. All this is then waterproofed again once screeded.
