19.01.2022 We invite you to join us for the Big Table Simultaneous Community Lunch, a project organised in collaboration with the East Devonport Community House. To mark Anti-Poverty Week, the Big Table Lunch invites everyone in the East Devonport community to eat a free lunch from the comfort of your home. Due to COVID-19, we cannot gather all together like we usually do, but we encourage you to invite a friend, neighbour or family to join you for lunch. 18.01.2022 Although we can't all feast together this year, it's wonderful to see how everyone is participating and having lunch in smaller groups. We were able to chat on the phone with our residents over lunch and enjoy dining together in spirit. Thank you to everyone who shared photos from their #TheBigTable!

17.01.2022 Burnie Library is hosting some fantastic and free digital literacy sessions. Pictured here are some members of our Tasmanian Resident Advisory Committee (TRAC), learning some new skills and sharing their newly acquired knowledge! This was a great way for our residents to get familiar with their iPads, which they are using for their virtual TRAC meetings.



14.01.2022 To mark Mental Health Week, Wellways Burnie is hosting some fantastic activities next week. If you're feeling creative, sign up to the Artworks of Hope art workshops (register by 5 October) that will support individuals to create mixed-media pieces focused on the message of hope. Or, if you're after the company of a furry friend, register for the Burnie Community Dog Walk, which will be followed by a delicious BBQ. Don't worry if you don't have a dog, courtesy of the Burnie Dogs’ Home and the Retired Greyhounds, there will be a couple of dogs who would love some attention!
