07.01.2022 NEW SERMON SERIES STARTING THIS SUNDAY For 2000 years people have been captivated by the life and teaching of a radical Rabbi from Nazareth. In the space of three short years, his words, wisdom and wonders left such a mark, that they have indeed transformed the world in which we live today. However, in our pluralistic, post-modern culture, we have forgotten that many of these words were not simply suggestions, ideas or proverbs pointing us towards a higher state of being.... No, many of these words were commands. Statements calling those who had ears to hear out of the crowd into a life of surrendered obedience. This series will explore some of these commands, reminding us of the call to engage in the radical life the radical rabbi intended us to live. See more

05.01.2022 "How can we have perspective in the pain? When we have an eternal perspective." ______ Check out Ben's message "Perspective in the Pain" on the Hills Baptist podcast this week!

04.01.2022 IMPORTANT UPDATE about SERVICES this Sunday 22 November The last few days have been a rollercoaster as new Covid restrictions have been introduced, then a total lockdown was brought in and now we’ve had the announcement that lockdown will end on Saturday night. It’s certainly keeping us on our toes as leaders in the Church trying to make plans for Sunday. In response to the new COVID restrictions and the ending of lockdown, I want to inform you of the changes we are making to... Hills Baptist services for this Sunday. This week our Verdun community will hold one service at 10:00am that will be streamed via Facebook live to the Hills Baptist Verdun Facebook page. This service will be a once-off, before moving to a three service model the following week, each with a capacity of 100 people. There will be more information to come concerning this. Youth Group will continue as of next week at 7:30pm as normal. Life groups can continue as of Sunday onwards but must observe the restriction of having no more than 10 people in a home. If the groups will exceed this number we encourage you to meet via Zoom or get creative and meet in a park or head out for a meal together. A number of other events such as the footy game against Seeds, Aldgate Men’s event, and the Growth Track course at Aldgate have been postponed. Awaken is cancelled this Saturday. In all physical gatherings, we will be ensuring we adhere to COVID-19 protocols. We would ask for your cooperation in maintaining physical distancing, by avoiding things like handshakes and hugs and ensuring good hand sanitisation practices until this current outbreak in our state is fully contained. We will provide ongoing updates as the situation develops. Until then we encourage you to keep looking out for one another, to stay connected even if we’re physically a bit more apart and to keep building and being part of the community in our church. Blessings, Mark Sanders
