14.01.2022 We finally made it to Tinaberries yesterday afternoon to taste the ice-cream everyone is raving about. Well the simple truth is it really is to die for, AMAZING. The boys have requested that we now make it our regular Friday after school hang out, surely I would be a bad mum if I said no, hehe.

14.01.2022 At the beginning of our three month house sit Miss Matilda was terrified of the tennis ball, she would run inside whenever anyone threw the ball for Archie Boy. Archie on the other hand absolutely loves playing ball and will fetch it for as long as you are happy to throw it. So with lots of praise and cheese, cheese and more cheese we have slowly slowly been making progress with Matilda. I started with putting cheese next to the ball, then using slightly melted cheese slices coated the ball in cheese for her to lick off then progressed to rolling it along the ground. Then today this happened she chased the ball and picked it up in her mouth with no cheese on it and returned to me for her piece of cheese. Such a proud puppy parenting moment MEL.

12.01.2022 For 13 years I have been having donuts for morning tea every Tuesday at Donut King with my Grandparents and today it was Matilda and Archie’s turn to enjoy Donuts Tuesday with special puppy donuts.

We are super excited that it is finally social media official that we are having a lifestyle change and doing this house sitting thing full time. Helping family, friends, the community, home owners and pet lovers enjoy their holidays and travels while we look after the home front and care for furry and feathered loved ones. We thought we would start off with a few posts about us as a family, your potential home + pet sitters and friends and give you the opportunity to get to know who we are, what we have been up to, how we arrived at this decision to become full time house sitters and a little about our current house sitting gig.

05.01.2022 So it has been an exciting 24 hours at Home Sit, we are fast approaching 100 followers, have received our first recommendation/review from the lovely family we are currently house/farm sitting for Troy & Kim Prichard and we have received our first enquiry through our new facebook page for the September school holidays at Moore Park Beach potentially looking after 5 tiny Jack Russel puppies . To say I am excited is an under statement, yes about the puppies OMG I am going to be a puppy mum for two weeks but also about reaching out and getting the word out about Home Sit and all the wonderful people who have shared our page already, so very very grateful, thank you.
