24.01.2022 Gates needed, the old single gate was way too big with inferior hinges and gave up. Used as much steel from the old gate as I could, added some new steel and heavy duty hinges. Made the frame on site, fitted it and put the original bamboo cladding back on from the original warn out gate, even re used the original pad bolt. 18.01.2022 It’s good to be back to work after lockdown. Major flooding at the end of a short retaining wall, all the ground water and service water for the area ends up at the lowest point here, the owner made a little dam out of scraps but it needed something permanent and effective in 7 steps. 1. Put in a small retaining wall the height of one step for access. 2. Line the back and the gap under the concrete with a quality piece of pond liner. 3. Install underground ago drainage pipe ...for ground water to seep into, join it into existing agi pipe. 4. Add surface grate drain, join it into agi pipe. 5. Back fill with scoria rock. 6. 06.01.2022 Customer put the hook in themselves with the plaster screws that came with it, it pulled out the first time they hung their vacuum cleaner on it. Asked me to have a look, out came my trusty stud finder and they had missed the stud by 3cm. 06.01.2022 A different challenge, This bird bath was knocked over and the stand was broken, it had sentimental value to the customer as it belonged to their Grandmother and they brought it with them from England. They thought they would have to throw it away, I said I would have a go at fixing it. Used an epoxy concrete glue and welded a plate to the steel arms to disperse the weight better.
