01.01.2022 This week we celebrate NAIDOC Week, and the theme of this year, 'Always Was, Always Will Be'. This refers to our acknowledgement that the lands and waters of the place we call Australia have always (and will always) belong to the First Nations peoples of Australia who are the traditional custodians and have cared for these lands for more than 60,000 years. This year, due to COVID, many states and territories moved their celebration of this important week to November (traditi...onally held between the first and second Sundays in July). Click below to learn more about the history of NAIDOC Week as we all take the time to listen more, and amplify the voices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in this country. If you wish to learn how you can get involved this year, head to: https://www.naidoc.org.au/ #AlwaysWasAlwaysWillBe #AboriginalLand #NAIDOCWeek2020 #NAIDOC2020
