23.01.2022 WOWSERS!!! I officially launched DV Safe Phone with Janine, Patrick, Helen and Betty on 20th April (exactly one month ago today!) to pilot the collection of 300 mobile phones by the end of May 2020. We have received 254 phones already and still have 10 days to go! 53 of those have been passed onto Red Rose Foundation, with many already in the hands of victims of domestic violence! Another 31 phones are ready to go, but we're waiting on new charger cables that have be...en ordered (thanks Covid-19! ) 120 phones are locked or have cracked screens, so King IT are working through those to see how many can simply have the screens swapped over. 02.01.2022 As we start another week under slightly eased Covid-19 restrictions, the numbers of victims of domestic violence is still on the increase Thankfully, so is your generosity We have received 167 phones to-date, and 35 of these have been fully tested and passed onto those who need them the most... that's 35 lives that have just been made a whole lot safer King IT are juggling their time between this (which they're doing for free) and their paying customers and they've already started swapping good screens from locked phones, with phones that are unlocked but have cracked screens (thank you guys!)
